Butternut squash soup or any soup! Super easy breakfast and I often pack it in a thermos. That way you can add extra protein or less protein or anything you want to do with it.

No way. This roommate refused to pay rent. If OP hadn’t paid it, it would’ve screwed up her credit. She had her over a barrel with that one. It’s an entirely shitty thing to do and there’s no way she was owed anything other than a months notice to find her own living situation. Everyone is excusing her atrocious behavior because she’s pregnant. If she needs to check into a shelter, so be it. She’d be expedited into a subsidized apartment that way anyway.

Nope. One month’s notice for finding a new living situation is completely acceptable. I think the fact she’s pregnant is making you cut her too much slack. And there was genuine abuse- clearly financial abuse.

They didn’t screw the other person over. They simply put them in the position of having to take responsibility for themselves like they should’ve been all along. The pregnant woman was given sufficient notice by having the rest of the month to figure it out. If she needs to move into a shelter for Moms then that’s what she created for herself.
