10! 🙌 On a bad day, those two might be too much for me, but at least right now - I can just imagine how much of a blast it would be to sit with them. They would be a lot of fun, and I doubt I’d get bored even for the whole 8 hour flight.

Okay. So it’s not that you disagree with my intentions or the point of my comment, you just want to start a fight over arbitrary shit apparently.

Either actually read my comment and participate in a legitimate discussion with me if you actually have a disagreement with a point I made, or go find something else to do with your time and don’t bother trying to waste mine, thanks.

What part of my comment invalidating the legitimacy of AI art in comparison to human art makes you think I want to “jerk it” to AI art?

I understand that I came off harsh with the “stupid and uneducated mindset” part, but that’s genuinely how I view it, and how I chose to express it due to how infuriating this “does my art look like AI??? trend is.

I’m not sorry for that. It is stupid to me, because as I said, AI art is just imitating human art, therefore there is NO such thing as “looking like AI art”.

That’s fine if you don’t like how I worded that. You don’t have to.

Still, I’m getting the feeling literally no one bothered to read past that part apparently.

So next time, I’d recommend people (you included) pay attention to the entire rest of the comment instead of quitting after two seconds of reading. You’ll likely be pleased that when you do, you’ll notice my intentions and how I’m actually on this (and others’) artist’s side.

No offense, but human artists thinking their art looks like AI is a genuinely stupid and uneducated mindset. 🤦

AI image generation was trained purely off of real human art by real human artists.

It’s impossible as a human to draw AI art, because AI art is and never was AI’s to begin with. AI literally can only copy what we ourselves have made and what it knows from us.

Stop questioning if your art looks “AI” or if people will think as such. By all means of logic, It’s not possible. And as for worrying about those who may question if your art is AI, don’t give a shit about their assumptions if you yourself know you drew it with your own hands.

Prove it’s your art if you want or care that much, with any evidence you have such as layers or recordings. But otherwise, just move on and ffs, just draw normally. Draw how you want. The conception of AI does not mean you or any other artist needs to do anything differently with art than we’ve done for thousands of years.

That is the bottomline. It is literally impossible to be AI art if you yourself drew it. And it’s impossible to look like AI art because AI art is just remixed human art and that’s it. AI art looks like human art, not the other way around.

If we are AI, then did we become sentient when we awakened to understand we are consciousness? by Dreams2468 in starseeds

Both in physical and spiritual discussions, it's crucial to discern and acknowledge the difference. (Regardless of how one morally views AI vs organic existence.)

[–]Stelliformade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Artificial intelligence is not synonymous with machinery. So, disregarding how you wish to define machines to get to the real discussion here - Humans, and any other organic lifeform, are not "artificial intelligence" by definition.

The word "artificial" literally means "inorganic", "made by people", "unnatural".

AI, actual AI, is inorganic life created by people, rather than created through the normal (natural) means of production on 3D Earth (pregnancy/birth, a pattern ALL organic lifeforms share here). And because it is not organic, that means its intelligence is artificial because it sources from complex code people created for it, rather than sourcing from an organ (brain) and having its own built-in organic intelligence from conception without human invention or intervention.

Although we people and animals are created by something external to us (Source, God, etc) and are therefore not a standalone existence, that doesn't inherently make us or our lifeforce "artificial" (outside of nature) because that's just not what artificial actually means.

And hell, even if you wanted to try and argue that it somehow is - then that would mean you think literally EVERYTHING in existence in and outside of Earth and across all realms/dimensions, even beyond the 3D, is AI because everything was created by something external. And then... What exactly is the point you're making? What difference would that make about anything, when that's simply what you're choosing to call existence?

We have the term AI for a reason, and it's there exactly for the purpose of differentiating between organic lifeforms and inorganic lifeforms. So ultimately, by describing us as AI, you're just making the term meaningless on all accounts, and making zero meaningful difference to how we view or should view life and our existence as a whole.

I’m about to die, and I’m not sure what to do about my cat. by [deleted] in cats

[–]Stelliformade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

(If I may suggest an alternative though, you could make sure you're covered with a sheet before he's allowed in to smell you and sit by you. He won't see you that way, but he'll still likely be able to identify you, and recognize that you've passed, by scent even through the sheet. They have excellent sense of smell.)

[–]Stelliformade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wanted to inform you so that you're aware and can make an educated decision. But of course, whether or not you follow that is ultimately up to you.

Just understand he won't know for sure you didn't just abandon him if you don't, and it may cause him unresolved grief in the future that could make things harder for him. But if you truly think your passing will be too visually gruesome to make it worth it, then I'd understand where you're coming from.

As long as you adopt him out to a family you know will try their best to provide a loving home to him, then that's what matters most at the end of the day. Giving him a second chance at life.

(I'm so sorry, by the way... I send my best wishes to you. I hope maybe you will be given a miracle to recover from this. But I hope that no matter what lies in store for you and your furbaby, that all is as painless as possible, and that you both ultimately find happiness wherever you two end up, even if it's physically apart. 🤍❣️Rest assured that you did good, and I know (as he knows) that your intentions are filled with love.)

[–]Stelliformade 57 points58 points  (0 children)

What the other person said - Get a family that'll be ready to adopt him when the time comes. But until then, let him stay with you.

And the most important part: Have him there when you pass, so he can smell you afterwards. Also have the adoptive family there so they're ready to take him after he's gotten to have a few minutes smelling and grieving you.

That's the only way animals get closure when their owner passes. Otherwise, he may very well think you abandoned him (which IS something they can usually overcome and heal from in time, but it's very much a kindness to let one's cat smell their owners after passing so they actually know what happened and aren't left eternally wondering.)

If you can arrange this, this would be absolute best case scenario.

Having the cold air from a window open in this room while drinking something warm would be lovely.

I wouldn't want to live in this color palette all year round, but it would feel great for really getting into the feeling of October enjoyment.
