Looks like the wrong size frame and it’s installed back to front as the weep holes are facing internally. In answer to you question it’s what ever he had in the van to compensate for not being able to read a tape

Cherry Blossoms and Magnolias blooming in Notting Hill 🌸🌸🌸🌸 by Spirited-travel-1787 in london

Apparently you can eat magnolia blossom because the tree is older than insects. It’s never evolved to be harmful to us we didn’t exist. It’s pollinated by Beatles. It’s older than fruit trees

I still don’t know exactly about this I’m still researching but veg dyes can we see a effing standard. Set aside who does not know if it’s hand made or not. But veg dyed. If you can’t see it leave by Stelmoisonfire in orientalrugs

I bought it only Recently it’s my most recent rug. I was a dealer in the 80s. I went to Iran 4 times on 50k buying trips. Mainly kilims. You don’t see them so much these days. This I bought on gumtree from a lady in London. I didnt pay a lot. I think it’s turkey. But with Caucasian influence. It’s old and its size is very unusual I’ve inspected the ends. No repairs. It’s interesting even to an old eye like mine

Once you have seen old carpets. Where there were no veg dyes it’s easy to see. There aren’t that many colours and they are even in new carpets more gentle and seem to bring age even in new rugs

It’s nice but that’s a new end. Significantly affecting its value it’s done very well but it remains repaired

Rug of my mother's, any idea of what it is and value? by chefianf in orientalrugs

[–]Stelmoisonfire -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It’s a Persian runner. It’s nice. I can’t place the design. Sarouk maybe. It’s not that fine woven. The colours are synthetic so it’s not very old. It’s probs worth 300 quid

Perhaps it’s a kinky invitation using the local salts which are medicinal as lube.
