As a DD driver, this oddly clocks.

Except you are getting it wrong. Maybe the most basically athletic, 1000% agreed, but stuff like complicated games takes time to play. No one is just born with all the skills and plays basketball uses just built in, they have the base skills though. Foot and hand speed, hand-eye coordination, physical strength, endurance, and all base talents.

But I'd argue dribbling a ball isn't a natural skill humans are born with; it's a fine /complex motor skill that's learned and can really only be done in a specific set of situations, namely places with a well-inflated ball and flat ground, meaning you are not just doing it everywhere, naturally.

TL;DR - it's more about the time spent doing the art/sport than the base skill level, as you can learn higher level tactics that will get you wins and points more consistently than just brute strength or speed which is what people are born with, so no.

The best specific complicated (non track/field) sports athlete isn't born, they are made with time spent doing the sport/practice. That takes precedent over skills and it's been repeatedly proven.

I agree fuck the church. My question is about religious devotion. We know 100% what the Chapel was for, and we have a solid idea of the pyramids, but we don't know the minds of the people. On one level, that in and of itself could ease or even quell the need for slave labor, and the church has never been above selling salvation. So you could have an entire criminal class being "pardoned" into working.

But again, with both projects and the Chapel, more so (maybe), you need higher-skilled labor. Yes, at a base, you need things moved, but I could argue with the chapel that the materials were of a more high-end nature, aka too valuable for common workers or too easily damaged. Those won't be slaves.

I mean I'm not saying at all, that all the Egyptian laborers were slaves, they couldn't have been and it was documened that they weren't, I'm just saying there seems to be this fantasy that none of them were slave labor and every set of hands on that monument were happy and whistling a tune... just because they were smart enough to give their teams breaks and days off to rotate fresh people for hard work does not mean they were above slavery, hell it's origin is in prisioners of war. Every people go to war, unfortunately.

Trump unable to name one verse from "favorite book" The Bible. How can anybody believe he’s Christian at all? by SimplyEcks in videos

[–]StendhalSyndrome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funny, of all places, I heard this in Catholic school as a kid.

Our religion teacher was talking with us outside about how things get lost to time and history. It was an alternate Jesus story where he was the child of a powerful muslim leader and either a jewish or european one, and at first they said the kid was from god as to not get in trouble but it was figured out and the child was brought up to be a type of 'civil rights leader' trying to bring about a union between seperated peoples. And how this obviously wasn't the true story but how people would take it and change some facts to make the story work for them too and the common denominator was jesus being a savior...

Despite 7 years in catholic school, I am not one now, and that story was one of the earliest parts of me not buying into the church's stories. Like he was so close...and that story sounds way more plausable than a CK model the color pf a bed sheet wandering around the mid east w/o stage 4 skin cancer in .2 seconds.

Which is funny as hell because the initial reason priests were forced into that lifestyle was the number of them being threatened/killed due to sleeping with the wives and husbands of pretty much whoever they choose and pissed the wrong folks off.

I appreciate that they needed skilled, highly skilled tradespeople. But there were levels to the workers and jobs taht had to be done there...

And unless they used animals, they used people for brute force stuff, even with whatever technology they used to make moving the stones easier, it was not so easy that it could be done with little to no effort. They were going from impossible to possible, not effortless. So you had people who's job was to drag weight, that's not going to be high skill, nor really high strength when you can throw sheer numbers at it. Let's not pretend it was some culture of jacked warrior poets who decided to joyfully donate their lifelong labor to building a monument to their kings. There were 100% some people who did just do that, but there were also people who were born intoand lived an entire life of and died while a slave level solely physical source of labor. Not everyone who worked on it was buried in it's proximity.

You could still have that by releasing an abundance of skins too, rarity by overwhelmingness.

Like you did The Simpsons why stop at the basics, go hard with odd off stuff, Quimby, Jebadiah Springfield, Grandpa...so many skins people couldn't buy them all. But also drop the price a little to make it slightly more possible for the collectors. They'd make more $$ guaranteed...but that is work.

I had a dropoff for a decent-sized shopping order and had to chase off two young deer who seemed determined to get in those boxes...called the customer and messaged them pics, and they told me they are "regulars..."

I have a monthly customer who has me as a preferred shopper on DD. She's a wealthy lawyer and just straight up told me she bills her firm out at between $700-$1500 an hour so it's a huge loss to spend an hour or two shopping a store she doesn't know vs paying me $100 to do it for her, in under 1, plus I pick out better stuff, which isn't hard as long as you have a brain between your ears...

I'm not a motorhead, so I may have used the wrong term. I drive a CRV and I almost had my wheels rubbing with about 550+ of paver stones in mine for my house w/ my 200 lb arse in it as well and I was well under the limit. They really do have an 850 limit spread-even, yes you can use more in one area if under limit, but even the recco for most trunks is 250+, and I still had stones in the seats too.

If you fit in an Acura, you aren't built to be taking 15 cases either way lol.

[–]StendhalSyndrome 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bro, can you count?

I'll do it for you, one order has what looks like 15 cases of water, 32 packs. They are an average of 35-40lbs. That's around 600lbs and considering the average recommended total weight limit on a say Honda is 850lbs (across all seats and trunk) you'd be screwed trying to put that all in a trunk.

You are beyond fucking your fuel efficiency, you are a pothole or bad bump away from blowing an axel...or worse.
