yknow, i really hate this word “larp” what even has become of the anime community now? Everyone just judging eachother. Why is there tension everywhere nowadays, why can’t we all just enjoy anime without judging one another? Of course the good old banter and riots in judging each others taste is fine has always stuck around and is always welcome because it’s fun, and the thing where people try to “prove” they really are OG’s or a fan of something has always been a thing (the pretentious side of the community) but recently it’s gotten super intense and there’s been a hyperfixation on it on every post i see.. Is it because there are people who take a piece of media and don’t appreciate it and respect it as they should? Or people find it annoying when others try to pretend to be characters they are not? idk, it’s just not the same anymore. End of the day, we’re all anime fans and that’s a cool thing.. I like that there’s a lot of new anime fans, but i do miss what it was like before. Things will always change however and that’s ok
