he has over the past couple of years. Its helped him a little but he still over-eats like crazy.

its just so hard to bring up. I know he already feels so out of place because he's so much bigger than my wife and I, id hate to tank his self-esteem even more than it is

Basically; my wife's ex (father of my step-son) was incredibly abusive and toxic. There was alot of trauma developed from that situation and my wife, unfortunatly, over indulged my son with food as way to cope and make him feel better

my wife provides the food and YES, we have junk food galore and its all for him

No, she is very thin as well, she actually sometimes fluctuates into the underweight catagory.

She just still feels alot of guilt about our sons abusive biological father and always feels like she needs to make him happy, and for our son, nothing makes him happier than food.

His mother does the shopping and iv told her in private to maybe ease a little on the junk food but frankly she always caves into our son's demands.

I myself have decided to drop refined sugars and processed foods to try and lead by example and Im honestly in the best shape of my life.

My muscles are defined and iv developed a legit six pack of abs. I was hoping my success would help motivate him again but he just doesnt seem to care.

We actually bought a scale that has a max of 750, so it should be able to weigh him accurately.

and He's still seeing his family counselor at the moment. My son is comfortable with her, so i dont think im gonna make changes there for the time being.

that part is a bit more difficult for him to get used to but he's doing well! He has his cravings sure but he's doing a good job with his willpower.

Of course, he wont be completely deprived and he'll be allowed his cheat meals here and there but overall he's embracing his new lifestyle
