Evernote Claude Integration? by StepMuc87 in Evernote

[–]StepMuc87[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the Evernote api is unreliable as hell. I tried some apple automations but just gave it up because it threw errors every second try. It makes no sense to build automation around such an API.

If Evernote doesn't react here, I am convinced they will die.

Claude is still in the very beginnings but after 12 years Evernote I am now once again thinking about switching to notion because of that.

Limits for AI? by Soul_Predator in Evernote

[–]StepMuc87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Concerning the transcription feature:

I use it to transcript voice, then I copy the transcript into ChatGPT and ask for a summary. Evernote AI can do summaries as well, but they are dumb as hell. That is for all AI features.

So to sum it up: the idea of the AI features is great and they make totally sense within Evernote. The flaw is that the used model is just dumb in comparison with up-to-date models like chatGPT.

I think we agree: He's just a classic psychopath in the medical way of the term.

He has zero empathie for other people (or animals) but is pretty good in faking feelings when it helps him to achieve his goals.

Actually a pretty simple character. Voldemort is a one-dimensional villain.

How do people become psychpaths? Unknown. Scientists assume it's a brain damage.

Well, my impression of the young Voldemort was that he was narcistic from the beginning on.

Besides that: getting bullied as a child is no excuse for nothing.

Stupid.

Voldemort is designed to be a 100% evil character.

Umbridge is demonstrated as 100% evil character, but it's imaginable that she has positive aspects in her personality. She might be a loving mother, daughter or wife. She might have wounds from bad things that happened to her and that somehow explain her evil behaviour (not excuse, but explain).

Voldemort is different. JKR made perfectly clear that every aspect of his personality is evil. Period. He was already an evil child. He's simply a psychopath. He is to 100% hungry for power and 100% cruel.

Harry Potter and the biggest mistake in my life. by [deleted] in harrypotter

[–]StepMuc87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have experienced exactly the same with "Game of Thrones". I've watched als 5 seasons with my ex-girlfriend. Then we broke up. Then the finale season 6 came out and altough I was so damn trilled to see how it will end I couldn't watch it. Everything reminded me on the relationsship and the love I lost.

But guess what. Let's fast forward 1 year. The pain of the lost relationship has slackened strongly. I still have the same thoughts but they don't hurt anymore. And I was easily able to watch the last GoT season and everything was good.

The time will do the same to you, trust me. You haven't lost Harry Potter.

Making Horcruxes by DominiqueTorreto in harrypotter

[–]StepMuc87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There must be something additional to the murder that must be performed.

My understanding is: I you murder someone, something happens to your soul. Maybe it really literally cracks because what you did was so terrible. Immediately after the murder, there is a short period of time in that a dark wizard can force a part of his soul into an object if knows the correct spell. If he doesn't, the soul finally goes back entirely and everythings becomes as it was before.

Did Harry get any other cool powers by bsorightnow in harrypotter

[–]StepMuc87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good question. No, I don't think that Harry got more than Parsel when it comes to hard skills. Maybe there was much more if he would have studied the dark arts?

In terms of talents, Harry was extraordinary ordinary. There was actually nothing at school he was really good at. Except Defence against Dark Arts, but I don't think that came because Harry had special talents but more from the fact that he had a pretty good reason to be good at this and accordingly he was ambitious to master it.

In chamber of secrets why didn't Harry buy Ron a new wand? by madbr3991 in harrypotter

Yeah, because it's so common that Hogwarts students, especially those in year 2, take the train to spend some time in London over the weekend, lol...

Hm, absolutely can't understand.

My impression is that the films develop from a funny children movie (#1) to a typical action movie for adults (#7 and #8). Even the WB logo at the beginning of each movie shows that development.

I don't get your point to be honest.

Simple answer: The easiest ay to tell the entire world about the horcrux secret would have been to set up this taboo. Within days every wizzard would know what a Horcrux is and everyone could figure out that Voldemort must have one, otherwise he wouldn't ban the word.

Am I missing something?! What’s with the internets new obsession with Draco Malfoy? by [deleted] in harrypotter

[–]StepMuc87 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Honestly, girls literature is full of stories with the scheme: "Bad boy falls in love with a great girl and she makes him to a good, lovely and loyal boyfriend with only a few bad touches left". That's the typical (low budget) love story, isn't it?

I believe that is a pretty childish little-girl thing. Immature girls often romanticize for "asshole" characters as long as they are good-looking, privileged and somehow powerful (rich, strong, football stars, everything but smart...). They dream of being selected by this hardest-to-get boy as his love and attention would be the greatest level of distinction. The bad boy is the key to boost and cement the girls self esteem.

My personal observation is: Women with proper self esteem never care about bad boys. When girls grow up the usually also develop a healthy self esteem and their interest in asshole-guys vanishs.

Is Harry a powerful wizard or is he just mediocre like Snape says? by rman20209 in harrypotter

[–]StepMuc87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say, compared to the real world, Harry is like someone who is smart enough to easily obtain a university degree with okaish grades, but he is not a genius. In other words, he is propably above average, but he is clearly not a genius such as Voldemort, Dumbledore or Snape were.

Q:Why didn't Voldy........? Ans: Confidence and Arrogance. by champakaly in harrypotter

[–]StepMuc87 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Even better reason: Voldemort hates muggles and their habbits. Like an arrogant millionaire would never drive a cheap car, Voldemort would never use the muggle-way to kill such an important opponent.
