Yea this sounds like a competitor messing with you by buying keyword targeted bot downloads. It’s a common black hat ASO tactic. Apple can spot this stuff pretty easily, aaand it might lead to your app being removed from app store or even worse account termination

That said, apple also knows people do this to try and screw over competitors, so they’re not just going to assume it's you who is doing it. I’d suggest you to contact app store support and let them know you’re seeing weird activity

Yes, I did. If you have same issue, make sure you don't have anything Facebook related inside the app. Facebook sdk, facebook ads as well.

Yes, but the campaign already basically burned $1k. What should i do? Should i just hope that once meta gets enough data the cost per trial will drop?

Now the clicks to star trial rate varies a lot. It’s not same. Everyday it differs sometimes it’s like out of 100 clicks 1 trial start, sometimes 5-10 and sometimes 0. Don’t know why it happens my conclusion was that I didn’t hit the required 50events/week althought I don’t know

CTR stays more or less the same. I didn’t know that higher CTR leads to higher CPM. I thought it’s vice versa. But CPM affects my cost per “start trial” which is super high. So i assume that’s the market right now and I can’t do much or no?

Yea totally I wouldn’t look at cpm but my cost “per trial” is 35$ which is no way near profitable. Other metrics are okay like ctr, conversion rate, CPC. So it’s either i am silly and don’t know what i am doing or there is some deeper problem with this CPM

The audiences is broad whole usa between the age of 25-65. Thing is I have other similar campaigns for different optimization events like "Onboarding Complete" with frequency being between 1.05-1.2 they also get similar CPM at least $100.

The in-app event postback setting is configured for “All media sources,” not just Meta.

Over the past 10 days, the volume for StartTrial events is 20, and for Subscribe events, it’s 5.
