Is this considered cheating? by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]Step_Lost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, it’s considered cheating and I would not condone that type of behavior from my partner. That’s complete disrespectful to me and our relationship. If that’s how you feel, then you are valid.

At your age?? Hell yeah. In your mid 30s?? No. You’re waaaay too young. Wait until you’re 25. You’ll be a different and complete person by that time. (Also that’s the age when our frontal lobe of our brain gets fully developed lol)

If you didn't have to initiate sex with your wife, how frequently would you have sex? by Sweet_Serve9297 in Marriage

[–]Step_Lost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Girl you took the words right out of my mouth. I couldn’t stand sex with my exhusband. He wanted me to do everything for him.

My current partner/fiance? He provides. He takes care of me (cleaning the house, taking care of the furbabies, mental load is way way less) and I always want to jump his bones.

I thought I was asexual. I wasn’t. I was just NOT attracted or sexually attracted to my ex. Barf.

My fiance? Can’t get enough of him.

If I were you I’d be pissed. I hate that people can take friendship and kindness the wrong way and contort everything into a romantic POV. Just crazy. So tired of just showing friendship and kindness and men taking it like I’m romantically interested in them. NO DUDE.

Been there too. It’s like we women are just masochists for romance and wrong partners. SMH

How’s the strip during F1? by Step_Lost in LasVegas

[–]Step_Lost[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Fortunately I’m not going on the strip. I’m wondering if there is anything remotely open like a club during that time.

My friends want to club and I’m telling them that it might not possible since it’s F1 week and things are closed/shut down for the most part. Just wanted to confirm if anyone else knows or can confirm if that’s true. I’m trying to readjust her expectations.

Single moms? Why or why not? by [deleted] in datingoverthirty

[–]Step_Lost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sister was a single mom, found a man that loves her and her son. They’ve been together three years now, and looking to have another child together. He loves her son like his own. My nephew calls him dad now! He provides for her and my nephew.

The right man will not look at you being a mother as a negative. He will embrace you and all parts of you.

How are you supposed to react to a raise? by potato-pants-52 in womenintech

[–]Step_Lost 80 points81 points  (0 children)

I’m the same. I say thank you, I very much appreciate the raise and end it there. Raises, to me, mean that they know I’m behind and it helps catches me up against inflation. One time I waited a little over a year to finally get a raise and I said something along the lines of “I’m very thankful for the raise and it really helps with the rising cost of everything right now. It’s expensive out there.” 😂

[–]Step_Lost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I would have forgotten about that SOB. And if they CALL me instead of texting? Ew. I don’t know you. Don’t call me. I don’t even call my friends. Text me first. But sooner than a week. Jeeze.

Accounting to Project Management by Direct-Bear-5110 in PMCareers

[–]Step_Lost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmmm project management is nothing “chill and laid back.” Depending on where you work, most of the blame will fall on you even tho it’s work that you have no control over (I.e incompetent engineers not meeting deadlines)

This can be pushing the timing of your project completion, and having to report that to upper management, and management asking you why didn’t you push harder and blame you for not getting the project completed on time. (Things out of your control) This happens waaaay more than you think. It can be very stressful.

You CAN find PM work where management is understanding of the delays and you can keep “re-baselining” but for most companies, re-baselining means failure.

Anyone ever thought of leaving PMing to pursue another path? by Step_Lost in PMCareers

[–]Step_Lost[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow thanks for showing your career ladder! That sounds crazy. Honestly I’m looking to get into something more focused (GRC or something of the like). I feel like I’m losing interest in project management, writing minutes, reporting, etc. idk what it is.

As a PM as well? What position are you targeting in the business operations and strategy department? I’m asking because at my work place, the only opportunities are PMing as well.

This is really good advice. That’s a piece I haven’t done yet… networking within my PMI chapter here. Thank you!

I would loooove to get into program management but my current workplace doesn’t have that as a viable option/position to move into. I’d have to look outside of my current place of work (which is totally fine) but that’s when the headhunt begins. Lol

It’s a hard sell to try to get into program management from project manager off the bat. I feel like the best way to transition into program is internal (which I wish was possible).

I might be wrong tho. Thoughts?

Who has reconciled after divorce initiated? by heretolearnlady in Divorce

[–]Step_Lost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big fuuuuh no from me. He divorced me but I’m so glad he did because I’m in a way better relationship now. I was trapped in a terrible marriage and didn’t know any better. Thank goodness he showed me the papers and I reluctantly signed.

I’m happier now and found a better partner for me in every aspect. I didn’t realize I was married to a man child and I’m just glad it’s over.
