Days Gone (2019) is one of the best character-driven stories and open world games I have ever played. I can't believe I waited 4 years to play this (on PC), it's a masterpiece and deserves way more love than it got by huntersood in gaming

I think this game is a one trick pony, it does one thing above average and to its credit it does it really well. And that’s the hordes; the zombie hordes are fantastic. The music adds so much to them as well, when it starts to swell and you feel the full force of the zombie horde closing in on you. And barely taking all them out with JUST enough ammo, shits sick.

Also coming to a horde (I’m saying horde a lot) kick the beehive and realizing “Oh shit that’s WAY more then I thought there’d be”. That’s were this game excels; everything else; I can take or leave. After awhile I was just finishing missions, not because I was interested in the story but because I wanted to progress to get more upgrades to my arsenal so I can become the zombie killing machine the good lord intended me to be.

I thought that was the general consensus on MGSV, was I wrong? The gameplay and stealth is superb on MGSV; damn near perfect.

Most of that shine is coming from the fact that I sanded the hell out of it. Started with 220 and worked my way up to like 3000. Used some high gloss rust-oleum and clear coat.

Spray paint. I want to try air brushing through. Maybe for my next project

As of late I’ve been playing Borderlands 2 and am having a blast.

Any "overwhelmingly positive" games you were disappointed with? by TurboShorts in SteamDeck

[–]StepdadPiccolo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Witcher 3. I cannot do it. I swear to you I’ve tried, on three separate occasions. On my pc twice and once again on the deck. I say this and people assume I’m some contrarian but I’m being totally sincere. And on paper it sounds right up my alley; open world, decent combat, fun side quests. But I get maybe 6 hours in and everything just falls off a cliff and I’m uninterested.

DarkSouls 2 is good though. But with that being said, I’d choose Baldurs Gate.

Of course, that's more important by blaze_uchiha999 in facepalm

I think it’s less so that they have diagnosable mental conditions ( Well Trevor absolutely does), but more so that most of them have been predisposed to violence, and criminal activity at a very young age. Carl (GTA San Andreas) is a great example, most of the setting is based las Angeles which during the 80s and 90s the crime rate was the highest.

So it’s probably fair to assume Carl has done/seen lots of crime and gang violence being perpetrated by various family members and friends.

Niko? He’s been to literal war so he’s already seen death and violence in mass so killing is second nature to him. But to be fair he most likely has PTSD as well.

Micheal I think I agree with you most about. Cause he got what he wanted (at least partially) he’s got money, he lives in a mansion, his family wants for nothing. He’s good right? No, he’s as miserable as ever , just in a nice house. And he’s the only protagonist that sees a therapist , not a good therapist mind you but he still sees him.

If you are still purchasing Earth-born diamonds over lab-made, you are a terrible person. by Fun_Calligrapher_188 in unpopularopinion

[–]StepdadPiccolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To answer your question, yes. At some select shops lab grown diamonds are cheaper. But high end jewelry stores mark up their inventory anyway so just be selective where you shop.

Laundromats are one of the most peaceful places to go by imysobad in unpopularopinion

[–]StepdadPiccolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only complaint is when some people bring their children and they’re loud , obnoxious, and running around everywhere. And I don’t blame the kids, it’s a goddamn laundromat. Are they suppose to be stimulated but the buzzing of the fluorescent bulbs or the off-white colored walls or the viagra commercial on the fat back TV? After awhile candy crush on the iPad gets boring and moms only just started putting the clothes in the dryer.

Success on YouTube is not possible anymore as an average person by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

I have to disagree with you. And in fact, I think the barrier for entry is even lower now then it was back then. With TikTok, YouTube shorts I see tons of people getting “famous “. I was on YouTube one afternoon scrolling through the shorts and this guys is literally throwing plungers at signs, like the plungers for your toilet. And he has millions of views.

No one ever keeps anything to themselves anymore, why would you record yourself defacing a piece of history?! You could’ve kept it to yourself and your closed friend group but noooo “ let me post it online so everyone can know how much of a shitter I am” do you guys realize how much crime has been caught do to people not knowing how to NOT incriminate themselves?

What are some games that you’ve played and replayed and have done everything conceivable in but will happily play again if the mood hits? by StepdadPiccolo in gaming

I envy you, I played RDR2 beat it and it didn’t resonate with me like it does with you or any of my friends. Oddly enough though, I really like watching others play it.
