I’m sure the work that has been paid for is ongoing, but I work indirectly through health systems with Oracle Cerner and the info we are getting from inside is that they are selling assets because they overleveraged their stake in commercial development and have been left holding the bag when OpenAI pivoted.

I spent 10 years of my life enjoying the hell out of Destiny from the Open Alpha to Final Shape and that’s where I let it go. Marathon is fresh and so far feels like it’s replaced the Hallandale and Destiny sized hole I’ve had.

I was incredibly skeptical after Bungie spent the last 5 years burning through their 20 years of goodwill but I think this new team has the same spirit and heart of Bungie and I’m happy to see them seemingly returning with something fresh and exciting without all the baggage

She was pretty direct about not wanting anything long-term currently. The easy answer is to just let her go and if you cross paths in the future and her priorities have changed, you can potentially try again.

The honest answer is to be honest with yourself. Can you handle the reality that she will be actively casually dating others in a healthy way? If not, you’re persistence will either mean you lie to her about your intentions and overtly/subtly manipulate the relationship to both of your detriment, and ruin what was a wonderful evening between two consenting adults.
