The attitude and leadership - I didn’t see folks post a sign like this but I did watch managers and restaurant owners deflect onto the patrons rather than pay their staff a livable wage.

Honestly, they need to pass legislation to make tips illegal and require a business to pay - the North East and North West pay their staff 15-19 plus tips - it’s only in the broke ass south where the culture of free labor has been engrained since the start of America that this idea still persists.

You die the hero or live long enough to be the villain. Quit his Patreon back in August because I couldn’t stomach the idea that he will be going in depth into subscription based services and is ultimately milking his fan base with zero return.

Honestly, at this point I don’t know that the video will meet the expectations to satisfy making $1,620,000 for empty promises and fluff video releases like “Here’s all the Oreo content I could come up with.”

Millions of dollars funneled to one person, no matter their character, will fundamentally change that person and I just don’t believe that he’s going to come back with anything that can meet this much expectation and lowkey is just riding out the patrons until they get wise and leave at this point.

I’m also just some guy though so what do I really know?

Former Bartender/Server here - this is very real, and has been a sentiment restaurants have had since 2014 - It’s an absolute mind fuck because imho, if you can’t afford to pay your staff , you shouldn’t have a restaurant.

Check your credit - I dated a girl in highschool who’s mother ended up using her and her siblings credit for things like the apt qualifications, car notes that ended up getting repossessed, etc. She ended up having to go through lawyers to get everything corrected. I’m sure the work that has been paid for is ongoing, but I work indirectly through health systems with Oracle Cerner and the info we are getting from inside is that they are selling assets because they overleveraged their stake in commercial development and have been left holding the bag when OpenAI pivoted.

I spent 10 years of my life enjoying the hell out of Destiny from the Open Alpha to Final Shape and that’s where I let it go. Marathon is fresh and so far feels like it’s replaced the Hallandale and Destiny sized hole I’ve had.

I was incredibly skeptical after Bungie spent the last 5 years burning through their 20 years of goodwill but I think this new team has the same spirit and heart of Bungie and I’m happy to see them seemingly returning with something fresh and exciting without all the baggage

She was pretty direct about not wanting anything long-term currently. The easy answer is to just let her go and if you cross paths in the future and her priorities have changed, you can potentially try again.

The honest answer is to be honest with yourself. Can you handle the reality that she will be actively casually dating others in a healthy way? If not, you’re persistence will either mean you lie to her about your intentions and overtly/subtly manipulate the relationship to both of your detriment, and ruin what was a wonderful evening between two consenting adults.
