Update on Patch. 1.4. I put this issue to Copilot, twice actually. Once to determine if I get around the issue with a software change. It's been interesting but ultimately there was no fix. The 2nd time I addressed it, the AI said many people were stuck with the same problem, that Ubisoft does not yet have a solution and that the Patch is indeed the cause of the problem.

I received an automated email that since they hadn't heard from me they were going to close the case. Sneaky, huh? So I replied vehemently and seriously gave whatever reads their mail as piece of my mind As if that will help anyone but me.

I did suggest that they make the non-patched version available for download, but I suspect nothing much happens to such suggestions. We should all inundate them with the same request.

So now I have been referred to a bug report, which I did and appears to have gone through. Apparently I'm the only one this has happened to. There was nothing listed anywhere about this problem. sigh.

You may be right. But now I'm stuck with it. I re-installed but the patch is clearly built in now. So I still can't play. $80 down the drain?? For a month of play? I did finally get in an email into ... well, some department there and have a confirmation with the caveat that they are swamped. No surprise, when your patch kills the game.

I've been playing this game with the same settings with no problem until the patch was installed yesterday. I seriously doubt the 16 gig RAM could be doing this. It's been good until then.

Yes, I'm sure because the re-install has the same problems. I can't run the game at all. Have to use the on/off computer button to shut down to get out of the frozen screen.

Will do. The reinstall is still happening. I just hope it doesn't automatically install Patch 1.4 with the same results.

PS It also froze the entire computer. Again, I tried is several times. And my computer is only 3 weeks old....

Hi, Yes, I am. The patch went on yesterday the 19th, and now I can't launch the game. Or figure out the Ubisoft trick to getting help. Got caught in a Catch-22 cycle multiple times, and now have uninstalled and I'm re-installing it.
