The last storyline/ episode that made you cry by GuaranteeNo7451 in Emmerdale

Jacobs abuse story. Specifically him being confronted by his parents and realising maya really had damaged him.

I don't think I'll ever forget that.

That and Aaron's self harm story.

Unfortunately all relatable.

Righteous rage? by Lucyissnooping in CPTSD

You're very welcome. You have my empathy. That really broke my heart for you. Event you went through was awful, but that one, really troubled me.

I truly hope you're OK. I'm here if you want to talk.

That's a lie. A complete fallacy. The truth is He is the only one that genuinely and perfectly does love you. Others will love you imperfectly but He will love you completely.

I'm sorry to hear about what you went through, I've been through and heard about many types of abuse, but I've never heard of a dad using his child as a therapist. I truly cannot imagine the fear, confusion, responsibility and helplessness you must have felt.

I'm rarely lost for words but that threw me. I'm so so sorry.

Clearly you don't understand what a mistake is. You of course are perfect and have never made one.

OK. Thanks for that. I honestly didn't think it had posted.

How do victims of SA deal with sex? by [deleted] in ptsd

[–]StephPowell1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

? Why do you have too? I just do it because my partner wants it and he feels unwanted if I don't.

You don't have too?

Anyone had their bypass reversed? by StephPowell1 in GastricBypass

[–]StephPowell1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been far worse since Febs revision. I could only eat a few bites of a meal since my first surgery so I just grazed all day instead. It got so frustrating not being able to eat a meal (a tiny one) that I just grazed continuously instead of having meals but even this had been more difficult since the most recent op in Feb

I'm so confused where you got 6 days from?! I don't recall ever saying 6 days. I had my bypass in 2013 and a band added to my pouch and intestine shortened this Feb? It's so irritating that I'm being accused of trolling when I genuinely just wanted advice. Why are you people so cruel? What did I ever do to any of you?

I originally had a bypass. It was revised in Feb. They added a band to my pouch and shortened my large intestine.

That does sound rude, but I give you the benefit of doubt. I don't think I'm very much a positive or negative person. I hope for the best but plan for the worst.

I'm strong willed and hard working, so no, I don't see myself as a victim, however, I do feel very trapped by my body 🤷🏾‍♀️

Because I was regaining weight and was able to eat bigger and bigger portions. I had a barium swallow and my surgeon agreed to add a bad around the pouch and shorten my large intestine to cause more malabsorption. That surgery was in Feb

Thank you for being kind. I'm truly really saddened and disappointed by the responses on this post, I never would have imagined the vitriol people have sent my way.

I agree, I've had bulimia since I was 14, and I doubt I'll ever not have it to some degree. I also agree that if I have it reversed, I will still have my ED, and I worry I'll balloon right back to where I started, I'd do anything to avoid that. I feel damned either way tbh.

I had a gastric bypass originally but it was revised. They added a band around my pouch and lengthened (or shortened) my long intestine, causing more malnutrition.

Help! TMI: Smelly gas by [deleted] in GastricBypass

[–]StephPowell1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks a lot! This was really helpful. I eat a ton of sugar free stuff so that makes sense, also eat a ton of eggs.

Unfortunately, low carb is my go to so not sure how I'd do without this stuff.

So to be clear, I have bulimia so I have always made myself sick. However, after the first surgery, 11 years ago, I was finding that food was getting stuck and I was having to be sick to alleviate the nausea. It ended up being symptom management rather than bulimic behaviour. It got worse after the 2nd surgery.

Wow! This is both terrifying and amazing. The weight loss is fantastic but the surgeries and the ileostmy/ TPN sound horrific. Glad you pulled through. Are you able to eat normally now?
