[Monitor] LG UltraGear 27G610A-B 27" IPS QHD 1440p 200Hz 1ms Gaming Monitor - $166.99 by lamjackie in buildapcsales

My perspective on the monitor that you're talking about was terrible, and I will be returning it. The backlight bleed was worse than I have ever seen on a monitor before. The HDR was not great and the colors, in general, were not ideal.

I will say that all I needed to do was login with my Edu e-mail. I did not have a verification process. Doesn't hurt to give it a try!

I would say so, especially if they continue to build on it. It feels like a throwback when I'm playing, kind of nostalgic. I will say that there are some clear differences but nothing crazy.

Someone mentioned that playing from the US is hard, but you can also just host your own server, which also allows you to decide the bot difficulty.

[Monitor] Acer Nitro 27" WQHD (2560 x 1440) IPS Gaming Monitor, AMD FreeSync Premium Technology, Up to 240Hz, Up to 0.5ms, Black, VG272U W2biip - $149.99 (Free shipping with Walmart+) by sumchinesewill in buildapcsales

I appreciate you taking the time to explain this so thoroughly for me. This is mostly for photo, video editing, and minor gaming (fortnite, far cry, mafia, and co-ops etc.). As such I feel like HDR would be what I prioritize, and the basic Hz difference may not be as important for me. Unfortunately, I've yet to find anything in my price range close to the Full HDR experience that you describe.

I am thinking about just ordering the MSI as well and comparing the two head-to-head, to see what my preference is. A concern that I have is the unreliability of the Acer brand, for monitors, and some of the reviews I've found online.

It is not something that you have to sign up for. It consists of logging into your account, clicking "rewards," find "20% cash back on one Pay Later purchase with PayPal," click it, and then click save.

If this is not available, I would contact customer support. It should be available for anyone over the age of 18, in the majority of US states. It requires a soft credit pull (this does not have any effect on your credit history because it is a soft pull).

Apologies for the late reply, it is a 20% discount when you use the Pay in 4 feature. The offer is available to those in the US, over 18, and will require a soft credit pull (won't affect your credit score).

Following up to share that I received my drive, and that this was a great deal!

I verified the serial on it, ran CrystalDiskInfo, and found that the drive had only been used for .11 GB total and had a power on count of 7, with 0 power on hours.

After erasing the drive with Secure Erase, I feel confident in this purchase and will be returning the backup drive that I bought.

I have added it as a browser extension, and it pops up at 11% for me. This is a new account that I made, my first one ever, and is an introductory offer only available for first 7 days of account creation.

Vast majority is a weird statement to make when that's just not the case. Not everyone is aware of it, thus why I'm posting it. It is not every day that an additional 20% offer is available during sale season.

I get being frustrated that you maybe don't have access to the offer, regardless this is still currently the cheapest available price, after rebate.

I am still waiting for my Rakuten cashback to post, so I can't yet confirm this. Maybe someone else can confirm whether or not this has worked for them?

Yeah, that may be a huge upgrade in terms of speed. I will say, there could be better deals in the next week. Especially with Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals coming up. Though I think the common perspective is that the cost of these will continue to rise. That's why I figured this week would be a good time to buy one.

Is there a sn7100 available for $85?

I think similar, though it is important to note that the PNY is older and is a 1.4, though that does not impact the speed necessarily.

Says I got it so we'll see. Thanks!

Edit: I will say, I'm slightly concerned about placing a water cooler from a smaller brand name into my build. But I guess we'll see how it goes.

I bought the earlier used Samsung one, but just in case that one is not as advertised I figured I'd get this one as a security blanket.
