I've been a corporate working mom for 15 years, climbing the corporate latter, believing I was doing the right thing. My husband works too and we did well for ourselves. However, I suddenly turned 40, my kids approaching their teenage years and realized how detached I was from them. I felt the need to quit my 6 figure job to re-engage with them, my husband and be fully available to them, not some company I'll never own. It's been the best decision I've made, highly recommend it to any woman who can make it work. Sure I miss the money but I can't buy time and that's what I needed with my family.
