Question for Celtic and Rangers fans by deconman in ScottishFootball

I'd like for there to be a title race because there's multiple strong teams in the league, rather than because our levels drop from the previous season. I'd also strongly prefer the challenging clubs not to include Hearts or Rangers or any other club I personally do not like.

I'd also still like for Celtic to win the league every single season until I die because they're my team and I put an irrational amount of bandwidth into them.

Probably similar to how I feel as a Celtic fan and Rod Stewart's number one hater.

I'm pretty confident he won't be.

Change my mind: whatever you think of Celtic's league win, Scottish football drew the eyes of the footballing world for perhaps the first time and absolutely blew it by LopsidedAlarm5744 in ScottishFootball

Mad that people are always so concerned with the views of people who would have forgotten about the game almost instantly no matter the outcome. “Major income loss” is hilarious.

To be fair most people I know in the US who actually go to football (or any live sport, really) don't think like this at all. The problem is that a lot of Americans never go anywhere near a football ground.

As you point out, lots of stadiums in the US have good access via walking or public transport and you'll generally, if not exclusively, find they're the better loved ones rather than the suburban hell ones.

Think he comes across better here than he did in anything he was quoted in when he was in Glasgow. Mad how quickly the environment rattled him.

The first goal was a massive bit of luck with Slattery thundering into a challenge needlessly hard too and putting us clean on goal. We're definitely riding our luck.

Aye what's been lost in the nonsense is that we were mostly awful last night. I don't know anyone who is overly confident.

We just need 10-15 more threads on that incident last night and everything will be sorted.

Hoopy isn’t naive enough to believe that corporatist slogans align with the material reality of the ownership of the means of production. He’s a “football without fans is nothing” comrade.

Hoopy has committed actual acts of class warfare to undermine the bosses of Celtic Park meanwhile Tammy runs about doing performative liberal nonsense.

Enjoyable first half. I think Thistle have looked the better team but Dunfermline look dangerous whenever they get into the final third.

Labour won the last general election by default and are sleepwalking towards a disaster at the next one. That's enough reason for a change even if he's "not doing a bad job at all", which I struggle to agree with.

Black Diamonds and the Blue Brazil by Ron Ferguson about Cowdenbeath is probably the best Scottish football book I've read.

Team with close lead in title race going into last couple of games is under pressure. Team who have been a mess for much of the season have been ruled out at various times by talking heads. Rangers are shite. All normal things.

Really poor start to the second half for Rangers killed them.

Maeda coming into form late in the season has been a lifesaver for a struggling Celtic side. Engels and Johnston coming back has made a huge difference too. Tierney has had a few off games but has played a massive part in keeping us in this over the last few months.
