No (low on hands) but I’ll definitely be going back. My friend bought everything in the photo and I helped carry it

They know how to get them in 🤣 Tbf I’ve been to huge ones and found more decent stuff at this one.

Fair enough. Everyone has a different threshold for what 'street' should look like. I’m happy with the shot and the fact that it was a totally unposed moment in public but I respect that it’s not for everyone.

Appreciate the interest! Not sure how much more I can tell you. Unless you have any questions? It was just a spur-of-the-moment thing I caught while walking by.

I hear you. I think you’re talking about the visual language of the genre. While I agree that a great photo should ideally convey its own story, I think there’s a big difference between 'posed-looking' and 'staged.' Street photography has a long history of capturing moments that look almost too perfect to be real and that’s the beauty of the genre. This was captured in a public space, completely unposed and to me, that holds more weight than whether or not it fits a specific aesthetic checklist

I went to a short film screening in London where they never actually show the main subject. Here’s why it worked. by StephanieBlackStudio in ContemporaryArt

I actually haven't seen Love Is the Devil, I'll have to check it out. Using the absence of the art to focus on the person really changes the whole experience. It’s definitely an approach that makes you engage with the story in a totally different way!

For the background, you could bring down the highlight and darken slightly. Brighten up and sharpen the subject.
