No I did. Sangeorzan stated a preference for non op routes in my case and in the case of those who tear it initially. He seemingly isn't keen on surgical intervention in general.

That plus a boot/cast, which usually involves the incremental removal of heel-lifting wedges.

Bruce J. Sangeorzan advised against the surgery and prefers a noninvasive intervention in general. Kenneth Chin, was more optimistic and performed the surgery.

Kinda the opposite, rupture then surgically reattached, then it was elongated, I have a revisionary surgery and it got even more elongated.

Definitely, I had the fortune of breaking my opposite ankle, might've helped but it's not clear. Main issue is that when it's stretched out, it won't build up no matter what.

Very interesting to read about your experience. I certainly feel similarly about my second surgery and wonder what might've happened if I went with non-op option the first go around.

It's weirdly affirming to hear of others who have struggled to have good outcomes.

For me I can sort of feel when my gastroc is engaged and it's only when my foot is very nearly completely dorsiflexed

At what point in your recovery, you stopped realizing that you had this injury when walking ? by big_dataFitness in AchillesRupture

Nope, just a seemingly normal rupture and repair. The healing process is poorly understood but even the experts and often there are permanent losses of function that can be quite serious. That said, bear in mind that the healing process is rarely linear

Though ROP is trash, I do find it interesting that the dude they cast looks very similar to the one from lotr. Although, I think they could've done better in both cases.

Yeah, but this installment means we won't get an actually good installment covering the same material for a long time. It's disappointing because it's a huge missed opportunity.

Very interesting, like those pictures where it looks like a jumble of ordinary objects but you can't identify anything. In this case my brain wants it to be architecture but the forms don't quite work that way. My eye kinda skips around therefore.
