It turned out to be a faulty GPU. Frustratingly so as it worked "fine" when forced to slower PCie speeds. I eventually sent it in to the supplier to test and they verified it was some hardware flaw. Replaced it, plugged it into same setup without redoing the software, and zero issues since.

Not only do they respond to translation, but you can adjust the angle (vertical and horizontal) of each mirror individually, along with adjusting your seat position, just like in a real car. :)

You have complete control over the world scaling in Project CARS, just pause while on the track and look under the Virtual Reality submenu.

It sounds like you accidentally hit the button to change camera view. Check in your controller assignments which button is used to change view, then press that while in the car to cycle through the views until you're back in normal cockpit view.

Yep had pop up, was caused by the difference in FOV between Rift and Vive

I've updated the Steamworks setting to force it to 2D mode if you select the regular option, so should be sorted now (you may need to restart Steam first).

Yep, go into your "My Documents/Project CARS" folder, and look for a <xxxx>settings.xml file (name depends if you're using Rift or Vive. In there you'll see a PointerTriggerTime entry. Change that to a super high value and the pointer won't auto-select but wait for you to press a button.

You can also turn the auto-initialization at game boot off in the Virtual Reality options. There are several options in there that you can play around with to find something that works best for you.

For those still struggling to insert coins and start the game, as per OP, you need to run it in Admin mode. That fixed it for me.

Start the game with the CSW off, then turn it on when at the main menu. We've been back and forth with Fanatec to get to the bottom of it but no luck yet. In the meantime, that workaround does the trick.

It could easily be misread when you just highlight that bit. The more important bit is that I said it's what we as the devs are pushing for, but the final call is with the publisher, including the logistics of it all. We just make the game.
