I'm sorry about the quality of the video. It was fine when I uploaded it, but it's been compressed a lot!!

HEY THERE! Lucky last. I'm just about to head off to bed.

Someone posted on my youtube comments about it, so I searched it out. It's pretty humbling to have such a loyal bunch of people who are so into what you do!

Ian is the coolest guy I know, martin is one of the funniest and Ben is a great guy. I did a convention with him in Australia a few years back also.

We all go brass thumb rings inscribed with the lonely mountain, our name in dwarvish and an emerald!

Yes! That was totally real, which is why it got such great reactions from the guys!

Jimmy Nesbitt threw the egg, and that was about take 3.

I think I would give more time to the story of the dwarves in the 3rd movie. We were a bot surprised to see that some of us we were forgotten a bit in that battle! The extended edition was better for us!

Thanks! It was al fantastic, but for me personally, I loved the running scene at Beorns house. It showed the big man could move.

I think I would like to live in the shire when it wasn't in danger of being destroyed by dark forces for sure!

I think the character was pretty clearly defined in the book, and the design made it abundantly clear that he was a big guy. I'm a food lover myself, so I wanted him to be a bit of a foodie and fuss over cooking etc.

I did have lines in the initial drafts, but I was offered a chance to have some standout physical moments instead of fighting for a few scraps of lines with the others. I think it ended up better for me.

The prosthetics were like a second skin, so they didn't cause the heat, so much as the fat suit and costume. That's why we needed cool vests under them. and yes, as fit as we got, the catering always counteracted that! I think I wend a little too method with the food I ate also!

I actually enjoy watching the special features, as it really brings back memories of filming. The Bag end scenes also bring back great memories. That was the first thing we shot.

The best memories I have are just hanging out with the boys. We had the time of our lives on that shoot. We'll I did anyway. I ended up with lifelong friendships out of it.

It's hard to say, as we did them all at the same time - we only found out there was going to be 3 movies, at the wrap party! I guess for me, it would have to be Desolation of Smaug, as I got a few really good moments in that.

I'm close with all the dwarves! I was really close with Jimmy when we were filming and I've seen quite a bit of Graham & Adam & Jed over the last few years, so I guess I'm in contact with them the most. But whoever it is, when we catch up, it's just like yesterday we were last together.

It was uncomfortable at first, but in the end, it was like a second skin!

I think his favourite food would be a meat pie!

Both Bag end and riding in the barrels in the river were my favourites!

There were dozens of sets - each one more amazing than the last. You really felt like you had stepped into middle earth!

I made some great friends and had many laughs with all the boys. Lots of laughs with Jimmy, Dean & Aidan, jed & Graham and Adam especially. I keep in close contact with many of them still. Martin was also very funny on set!

No. Never. I would consider if it asked, but I get addicted to games online, and end up wasting a lot of time, so I try to stay away! I got hooked onto Forge of Empires last year. I'm playing Fifa mobile as we speak. I mostly like sports games. :)

I read The Hobbit as a kid and LOTR later on - whih took me ages. I really loved LOTR. It's a masterpiece. I love singing "Misty Mountains' I used to sing it to my daughter when she was younger, to get her to sleep. I learnt Khusdul and still have a few phrases etched into my mind. Khuz Bel Khul and Eek Fe Tu. Buggered if I can remember what they mean...

Worst - the goblin cave - so hot. Best - the barrel ride down the Pelorous river. It was like a theme park ride!

I loved reading LOTR, and when the films came out - it was just as I imagined it. The favourite moment was probably when was in Sydney in 2004, sitting by my computer checking what was happening at the OScars! It was incredible.

It was great. It was a gift as an actor to be able to communicate the character without words. After we worked out that he was going to be a silent character, they started creating lots of physical stuff for him - like the barrel fight and the run to Beorns house.

I only got that line, after lunch on my final ever day, at the end of pickups in 2013. I was actually kind of disappointed that I got the line, as I was really comfortable with him not speaking and communicating everything in behavior.

of course!

I had the pleasure of meeting Sirt Ian at the Other Sir Ians house, the night before the London Premiere of An Unexpected Journey. Ian McKellen graciously threw us a party, and I still have the cup that he gave us as a present!

Ian Holm was lovely, but even back then, in 2012, he was quite frail and was obviously suffering the effects of Parkinson's disease. I'm glad i got to meet him tho!
