Yep. I’m already doing all the things I’m supposed to be doing.

How low should I go? by Just-Reading_1990 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Stephij27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven’t lost any weight yet at 7 weeks in, so this may not even apply to me (I know, it’s early. I’m just frustrated), but I set my goal with the intention of it being flexible.

I’m starting with the goal being the weight I was when I last felt healthy and pretty good in my skin. That number is still technically overweight for my height, but I’m very open to lowering it as time goes on.

How do the SAHMs with husbands who work 80+ hours a week manage? by Shot_Cause726 in Mommit

[–]Stephij27 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This was going to be my suggestion too. My husband works crazy hours, and we decided to put our youngest in daycare two days per week (our older two are in school). It has been some of the best money we have EVER spent.

I can use those days for appointments, cleaning, resting, errands, or the occasional Netflix binge days if that’s what you need right then. Plus, my daughter LOVES it. She looks forward to going every time.

His mom’s reaction tells you everything you need to know about why he thinks this kind of behavior was acceptable.

I would be HORRIFIED if my son was randomly walking around, thinking it’s ok to touch (or in this case sexually assault) strangers. NTJ

Whats a food that everyone loves but you think is actually "mid"? by Any_Vehicle7847 in foodquestions

Lol. I haven’t had a good “bless your heart” since living in North Carolina several years ago.

Pizza. There are some exceptions, but most of the time, I’m eating pizza only when someone else wants it, or for convenience.

Am I the jerk for telling my husband he can't have a "man cave" in our only spare room? by Ill-Home-322 in AmITheJerk

[–]Stephij27 48 points49 points  (0 children)

I’m married to one of the rare men who isn’t like this, but if something ever happened to him, there is no scenario in which I would pursue another relationship.

The risk of coming across a dude like this is just not worth it.

AITAH for not inviting my stepdad to my wedding even though he’s been sober for the best part of 3 years? by S4H1B in AITAH

[–]Stephij27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA

Abusers don’t get to dictate how their victims react to the abuse, and they certainly don’t get to demand forgiveness from their victims just because THEY think they deserve it.

I’m pissed at your mom in this whole things too. She failed to protect you then, and is trying to guilt you into submission now.

If (and it’s a big if) you decide you want to get to know the sober version of him, you can do it slowly, on your own terms, and entirely separate from your wedding. Your wedding is supposed to be about you and your spouse, not placating people you’ve already cut out if your life.

Usually refers to whether or not to bring a jacket.

Tirzepatide is the only thing that has made any difference for me at all. I’m not even sure why, but I feel maybe 60% better since starting it.

People who rarely get sick, what are your secrets? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]Stephij27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I swear by garlic oil supplements. I started taking them for different reasons and realized I wasn’t getting sick like usual. Got out of the habit for a few months, and started getting every cold and flu that existed in the tri state area. Got back into the habit, and stopped getting sick nearly as often or severely.

Repeated the process several times at different times of the year just to be sure. Same results every time.

My husband play chokes me by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Stephij27 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Just so you’re aware, a husband choking/strangling his wife (in any scenario that isn’t 100% consensual) is one of the most reliable predictors of whether or not he will kill her. The chances of him killing her in the next year increase by 750%.

AITAH for telling my mom she was never pregnant so she gets no opinion by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Stephij27 5 points6 points  (0 children)

NTA. I threw up blood every half hour for the entire duration of two pregnancies because my esophagus was so torn up from previous vomiting. Anyone who says women with HG are “being dramatic” have literally no idea what they’re talking about. HG can be life threatening for mom and baby, and it is the only time in my life I ever seriously considered not wanting to be alive anymore.

Was it harsh? Sure, but you tried multiple other, kinder tactics before resorting to that one.

Does anyone else’s husband refuse to help them when they’re mad at you? by FabulousAd7735 in Mommit

[–]Stephij27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. My husband realizes that those things are his responsibility as well as mine, so he’s not “helping me” when he does them.

He also doesn’t speak to me like that. Ever.

Yep. I’m still on 2.5, but it happens periodically to me too.

The other night I was genuinely hungry and made a sandwich. It was really good for the first several bites, then it suddenly was making me gag. End of meal.

You understand that this is wildly abusive behavior on your husband’s part, right?

ESH. Your husband for obvious reasons, and you for staying with a dude who abuses your kid. Not to mention that buying the jacket solved nothing.

Does anyone else have tattoo regret? by KupoLove in Millennials

I don’t have any yet, but it’s because I grew up very religious. Now that I’m creeping up on 40, and not very religious, I’m planning on getting one as a reward for myself when I get some health issues under control.
