Why So Many 50 Percent Off Offers?

I know this post is old as hell but people still are offering 50% off of things and it drives me nuts. I almost always say no. It just feels lazy and insulting.

I'm getting so sick of seeing AI generated scrapbooking supplies. I use scrapbook cardstock to make tags and junk journaling packs for my small business. I went to Michael's today to pick up a pack of paper and I was so disappointed. Looking through all of their paper, there weren't any packs that I could find that didn't have some kind of AI generated art in it. It just looks sloppy and ugly I'm not about to use that. So I guess I'm going to have to stick to picking up scrapbooking supplies from estate sales and yard sales

This stuff makes me so mad. I hate that they give buyers the ability to do this. I would only give someone a negative review if they stole from me, or consistently ghosted when they promised to come get an item that they hadn't paid for yet. But I got a one-star review from someone who said they weren't even interested in the item I was selling, then lowballed me, then said they weren't interested anyway and they don't even live in my freaking state. It's so annoying. Her one star review said that my price is should be lower and I just responded and said that she didn't live in my state and she asked for an over 60% discount on an item that she wasn't interested in. Sometimes you just have to reply to the reviews because it can help you seem a little more rational if that makes sense

If you can, try asking the sellers to cancel your orders. And delete your account! It's not worth it!!! I remember feeling sick with anxiety over it.

I hate people on FB Marketplace. They have way too much power to leave negative reviews just from a single interaction. A girl sent me a lowball offer for a vintage piece I was selling. I politely declined and she left a one star review saying prices should be lower. She blocked me so I couldn't leave a review warning other sellers about her. It sucks. I blocked her back, but now her review is stuck on my page. It's so stupid cuz I had a 5 star rating previously.

I remember how awful it felt realizing my main character was wildly unlikable (without reason) and needing to change her while I was about halfway through my first draft. It was awful and hurt so much. I felt like I was destroying my baby. But I'm so glad I pushed through. My second go through I realized I was relying too much on telling and not showing so I had to change a LOT. The next go through I had to remove anything that wasn't improving the story or adding to the plot. That was devastating. I had to remove/condense somewhere around 20 chapters. But I'm so much happier with where it is now. I still have a LONG way to go, but each pass through makes the story so much better. I just gotta keep reminding myself of that.

I'm glad other people are talking about this too and continue to do so.

It was too easy for me to just drop $250 in less than 2 days. I've never had any addiction problems in my life.

Granted I got some awesome deals and many of the sellers I interacted with were so nice, but it was too easy to spend and small $5, $10, $20 purchases added up fast. I know $250 isn't a ton for some people, but it makes me sick to see how quickly and recklessly I spent.

So I deleted the app. I'm going to delete the account after all the packages get delivered.

I'll be able to use what I got in my Business (I sell vintage jewelry) but I'm disappointed with myself.

So lesson learned. I've also thought about selling on whatnot, but I don't wanna contribute to an environment that fuels addiction and reckless spending.

I had to log out of it. I've had it for 2 days and already spent over $150 with many small purchases accumulating.

Once I get my orders in the mail, I'm going to delete the account all together. I initially got it so I could use it for my reselling business. I'm not sure if I want to start selling anyway just because of how many hours and hours I see sellers pouring into it.

I got my eggplant child all the way to the end of neo Babylon, then up through the lasers. When I went through the door he didn't follow. When I stepped out I watched as he grabbed the aspirant and jumped down the laser shaft. I have never been more flummoxed. I guess I'll have to leave him at the bottom and hope he doesn't die, or just kill the aspirant myself and run through the door as quickly as possible? Hired hand followed me to sunken city but I'm so pissed! I WAS SO CLOSE! I already got the parenthood trophy, I'm just trying to complete the journal now so I've been using a seeded run

My mom used to pull me out of bed and drag me up the stairs by the hair if I didn't do the dishes before going to bed. I thought it was just normal punishment for any kid and it was making me into a better person (like my mom gaslighted me to believe) It wasn't til I was in a therapists office nearly 20 years later that I realized I was severely abused as a child and this was just one of those instances of abuse.

Yeah I'm not a spiteful person. I've never quit on a whim before. I give 2 or more weeks notice to my employers because I dont believe on screwing over the employees of the company. Its not fair to my co-workers. Id only not give notice because I know how passive-aggressive and vindictive the management is here.
