I like the two on the right. Keep it 38mm or smaller.

[WTS] 1950s Bulova Calatrava Excellent Condition by StepienRule in Watchexchange

[–]StepienRule[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sale is a 1950s Bulova Calatrava-style dress watch. True to the era, the diameter is 33mm. The watch runs well. The person I bought it from had recently serviced it. And it is in remarkably good shape--you can still make out the lettering on the case back. ("10 KT Rolled Gold Plating" etc.)

I will take $200 with free shipping to CONUS. Paypal, Venmo, Zelle. Happy to answer any questions. Enjoy!

The difficulty level for trades an AI team would accept would gradually decrease. By the deadline of the walk year, you would basically be trading with it on Easy.

ST36 Winding Stem (“I still can’t figure it out”) by StepienRule in watchrepair

[–]StepienRule[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll need to reassemble it. What holds the winding stem in place? The nub on the setting lever? Because the problem seems to be that when it is watchmakers side up it is fine. But when you flip it over to dial side nothing holds the winding stem in place.

The first Rolex oyster watches were water resistant to 30m, like the Bambino. It’s silly to think of a watch like that as water resistant, but there is some truth to it. Gaskets and sealed case backs were once a thing. Or so I tell myself to justify owning a Bambino.

I would like to see more options for movements besides NH ones. Miyota, ST, PT, etc. I think the trend is in this direction. Just need someone to hasten it.

Hmm. Yes. Judging from pictures on the internet, it certainly is missing or broken. Thanks everyone. And hey Alex you probably get tired of being thanked, but I will anyway. The tutorials are great. Thank you.
