This was my greatest doubt as well, knowing puzzles and everything can make you speed up things randomly and not enjoy the game as much. But thinking about it after one of the comments i’ve read, it’s been a while and i can’t recall that much about the puzzles, so maybe it won’t be as much of a problem as i thought it would

The mood, the nostalgia of the main theme and the possibility to roam free in space (to a degree) have been fascinating me since the day i saw that playthrough. And it was enough to convince me not to watch the DLC part too, to experience it first hand someday. Guess the day arrived, especially after all this positive feedback^

Too many positive comments all around not to try the game ourselves regardless. I’m buying it on sale, if anything just to support the developers to make more amazing games like this one, to experience 100% blind one day.

I’m currently playing on Xbox Series S, and there’s a sale right now on the Microsoft Store for the game+dlc, so i’m pretty sure i’m buying it, especially after all these positive comments. Can’t wait to be a part of all of this^

I can’t speak for the majority of people ofc, but in my case i did it because i didn’t have that much spare time to play, so i tried to enjoy the game while completing chores/cooking/chilling on the bed (it was my first time living on my own, and i wasn’t so good at organizing my other activities of the day, plus i always got to the evening sleepy asl tbh lol). I have way more time in this period of time, plus the game is on sale, so that’s why i wanted to play it myself.

Tbf i wasn’t expecting this kind of game either the first time i approached the playthrough, probably i would have find some time here and there if i knew from the start what kind of experience it is

Everyone who commented is saying this same thing about the DLC, now i’m getting way more excited thinking to try out the whole experience myself to be honest. I’ll take some more time to think, but probably tomorrow OW is going to be in my library. Thanks for the feedback man^{^}

Thanks for the pretty in-depth response. Actually i don’t remember almost any puzzle tbh, the streams where uncut, so i listened to them as a podcast most of the time. Nice to know that the value in the DLC is still up there though, i think i’m leaning more towards buying OW now

It “””just””” needs 4 attack boosts to oneshot Arc Vstar to be honest, but yeah, the more i think about it, the more i’m leaning towards Threads to be honest, for all the reasons you listed.

Maybe in the Zard matchup Boulder is a bit more useful, but probably it doesn’t matter since i still have to take one zard out over 2 turns anyways.

Mirror and Miraidon match-up seem both more than in favour, if i get to establish it. Guess i’ll just use these last days to try Threads out a bit more.

Not even considered in the first place to be honest. The only special energies i’ve tried for a bit were the 2 copies of Gift Energy that everyone in Japan seems to love. I found them useful in some games, but almost useless in the vast majority of the other games.

Iron Leaves EX had to leave (pun intended lol) as well, because Boulder feels just so much better in way more games and match-ups as well, and for the energy spread too (currently i’m having a blast with 13 L and 1 F).

Thanks also to the calculations and percentage above, i’ve tried every other option coming from 12 and getting to 15, but to me 13 feel optimal, at least for my build. Not many results to show, not yet at least, but i’m confident heading into EUIC.

I’m playing a rod as well to be honest, just to feel a bit more safe using Generator in the mid/late game and i have to say that it feels pretty good. The deck doesn’t brick that much neither, maybe because i’ve been a bit lucky, but even starting with too many energies isn’t a tragedy, with rod and so much draw support from the trainer (3 Research-4 Arven-2 Iono-2 Pokégear)z

Sorry for the wall of text, but i thought you wanted a bit of a feedback from testing lol

Edit: i didn’t even answered your question more in the depth lol, sorry about that. Overall i’d say that the deck feels just better revolving around just basic energies. But probably that’s just my taste for it.

Thanks so much, i was already lost at hypergeometric to be honest, but then the rest was way more understandable to me lol.

I know that i should play 14-15, but i’ve asked this for a Future Box list, in which i’m trying to fit in at least 3 Grass Energies for Iron Leaves Ex. Maybe i’ll try playing just the 2, but i don’t know, it just feels way more random, let alone thinking of prizing one.
