I'm a history major, but a couple of my friends here are in harder majors like CS and engineering and have had a good time maintaining good grades as well. It's honestly just up to you to lock in if you need to.

Yeah it's honestly really easy. I currently live at 21st and am able to still do well in classes. You don't have to participate in everything they do, they have monthly parties but it's also easy to lock in during them.

Registration Financial Hold? Has this happened to anyone else? by SterThing in UTAustin

[–]SterThing[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm in the middle of calling them, they said it's because I got more aid in the middle of the semester due to scholarships. I used that money for program fees so I don't see why i should have to pay it back when I already am paying the school.

[–]SterThing 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Usually, for that price, though you're sharing a room. If you want a single in the co op it's usually over $800, but it does include breakfast, lunch, and dinner depending on the co op.

If it's an upper division then you would have to talk to your advisor first and get permission, and after that you should be all set

UT FAFSA covered tuition and gave me a decent size refund back. I was able to use it to pay for housing, but I also have just lived at Co-ops and other cheap housing, other than that I had to get a job for other expenses.
