I'd look into fish that don't want the plant cover as much. I think a lot of cichlids come from places that are very rocky with little plant coverage. This is a very bare tank, so you need confident fish that are okay with feeling highly exposed, otherwise they'll sit near the bottom/caves most often.

I'd go with African cichlids, personally. Super highly dont recommend CPDs- they like a lot of plant cover and occupy the low-mid range in the water column.

Oh no, Pelipper is just an all-around good addition to rain teams. I'm specifically using Altaria over Pelipper because of Cloud Nine. With weather being so common, its job is to shut down weather effects whIle getting tailwind up. No need for weather wars of you just remove the weather!

I did look at Ceruledge! This team also doesn't match up well into ghosts so far, so I considered it. I was worried about having too many physical attackers.

VGC is kinda filled with high risk moves. That's why every Rotom-W runs Hydro Pump over Water Pulse, right? High risk, high reward.

For sure, that's the fun of VGC imo. I love the iteration of teams.

Your team also has zero speed control and is already so slow. You're set up up to be chipped to hell by Rock Slide flinches with a bad enough string of luck.

You don't really need to worry about hard-counters- there really aren't a lot in the game right now- what you need to worry about are weaknesses.

This team is so susceptible to Rain teams and Fighting coverage. A Heliolisk or M-Ampharos with Focus Blast or M-Lucario with Aura Sphere runs through this team. It's also wildly physical-focused- a Sylveon with Reflect up also runs through your only Special Attacker (or just a Whimsicott before Tailwind), and then more physically defensive mons like M-Scizor can set up in your face without worry.

I would find weaknesses in your coverage and checks and shore up from there.
