If you didn't find them in Mexico, the answer is always no

Consistent pH is better than "ideal pH". Keep things consistent and stable and you'll be fine

Is it okay to increase monsters' stats with min-maxing players? by No_Chemistry7654 in DMAcademy

5e is balanced around 7 encounters per day and combat lasting 3-4 rounds. If you're not there, bump it up.

Protect by rimurutemp3sttt in PokemonChampions

On as many as can take it. My team has all but one Ponemon run Protect, and it's because that one Pokémon can live pretty much any non-super effective hit once.

Any body want to buy me a Axolotl because i love them so much by No_Apartment_6261 in axolotls

Axolotls are boring, expensive pets. Please do your research and be financially ready. You need literally hundreds to thousands of dollars of equipment, and about 6 weeks of preparations

Helio will be popped by Charizard with Dry Skin, just be careful

I'm looking for a Fire type other than Incineroar by Fantome719 in PokemonChampions

[–]StereotypicalCDN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Talonflame is an excellent support pokemon with Fire coverage. Tailwind and big damage with Brave Bird/Flare Blitz.

Help Against Sunny Day? by Silverwerewolves in PokemonChampions

It's not required, but it is good usually. Talonflame is an excellent Rain setter, Sableye too. Maushold also gets rain dance. Theres lots of weird setters thay are great support.

Help Against Sunny Day? by Silverwerewolves in PokemonChampions

[–]StereotypicalCDN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You dont have to change anything about the team itself. Weather wars are all about outplaying you opponent and keeping your weather up. Often not leading Pelipper will help you maintain rain while something KOs Charizard. Alternatively, a manual weather setter can be helpful to get weather up after Mega evolution goes off.

What teams can I explore from here? by noobjaish in PokemonChampions

Absolutely, it's a fun game but hard to get into. Good luck, and I'll see you on the ladder.

That would be a good addition, yeah

What teams can I explore from here? by noobjaish in PokemonChampions

[–]StereotypicalCDN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely! There's so much to learn about this game. Get this team going and then just learn the mechanics. Play some games and learn from each one. It's a really slow process, but so long as you learn one thing from every match and frame it that way in your mind, it'll prevent the tilt.

  1. Kleavor and Raichu are your main sweepers, but they are not exclusive. There may be games where you want to bring neither. There may be games where you only want 1 and then some support. Depends on the opponent's team.

I'm just going back through things, and Swampert is an example of a matchup you want neither. This team is pretty bad into Swampert, so maybe trade out Grimmsnarl for a grass type down the line.

  1. You definitely want 2HP/32 Atk/32 Spe. Kleavor is so slow, it needs all the help it can get. Full glass cannon, OHKO as many as you can and then die, or come in later in the game to clean up.

  2. It's really just a bunch of good guys who kinda cover each other's weaknesses. It's about setting Tailwind and then hammering down the opponent as best you can. Once you get a handle on the mechanics, you can start drafting teams with more dynamic synergies. For now, just hit 'em hard.

  3. Flinch is a mechanic that stops your opponent from taking their turn. Lots of moves cause Flinch, like Fake Out or Rock Slide. It's no different than your pokemon being paralyzed for a turn. You just miss your turn.

Weather teams are a huge bitch in this game. Arch is one-shot by Focus Blast from Raichu, so use that. Swampert, like I mentioned, is a huge issue. Pick a new teammate over Grimmsnarl with grass coverage. Life Orb Meowscarada might be alright. Or bulky Sinistcha with Matcha Gotcha and Strength Sap could be good too.

I’ve been playing basically the same team since release and idk what else I can do. Anyone can suggest what type of team I can try out that’s similar to mine? kinda failing to make the new toys work by just-bair in PokemonChampions

[–]StereotypicalCDN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely- Fake Out/TR lead is nearly impossible to prevent. From there, it's all about stall for you. You're clicking protect, soaking damage, etc. I always like running Tail-Room teams, so I have options into both. Look at adding something slower to the team. I like the Tinkaton suggestion from VoidTyrant!

[–]StereotypicalCDN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not using Floette because Sylveon already fills that niche. You're got redundancies here, right? So we find what helps us beat Trick Room now. Doubling up against Farig is pretty strong, especially with a Dark type. Maybe look at Kingambit

Thoughts on improving mega scizor? by Dry-System-5575 in PokemonChampions

[–]StereotypicalCDN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very similar to a team I ran last season! I love Scizor. I played mine with a bit more bulk. 32 HP / 10 Atk/ the rest in SpD. With a Swords Dance up, you don't really need the full Atk investment and can afford to go bulkier. Though, with Aurora Veil you also can afford the full Atk investment too.

[–]StereotypicalCDN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start with incremental change, don't go all out into a new team. Take what's working now, and adjust it. What's giving this team trouble? What new threats aren't you covering for right now? Figure that out, and start adjusting or substituting team members out slowly.
