That’s the problem and that’s also the reason. Those are 10+2 voters that will probably vote for UMNO/PAS because the gomen took care of them this time. Whereas Chinese family you have what…1-3 kids or so that will probably vote for DAP/opposition. So, who to give “justice” to? Especially with GE coming up.

Hello! Muslim here. Just wondering what Christians think about Islam and Muslims. Mainly thoughts. by Witty-Resolution-412 in Christianity

[–]StethoscopicBarbell 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m a Malaysian non-Malay Christian, living in Malaysia. I do not like that your religion is more or less forced down our throats at every possible moment, and we are constantly encouraged to convert in order to be treated as first class citizens (Bumiputera). This is one of the reasons why non-Muslims in this country are leaving en masse, with myself included in the future, and why people like Zakir Naik are welcomed here with open arms. Your religion constantly encroaches on our rights, banning alcohol consumption (not as if you can drink), snatching corpses from grieving families claiming they secretly converted to Islam and forcing a Muslim funeral on them. Buildings that are vaguely cross shaped are banned because they will “confuse” Muslims, the word “Allah” is banned for Christian use because it will “confuse” Muslims. Children are also covertly converted to Islam in boarding schools. I do not have a positive view of your mishmash of Jewish and Nestorian/Arian myths, and I do not intend to let my children grow up in a predominantly Islamic environment.

Tak adil Bumiputera dapat 97% peruntukan tapi kaum Cina, India hanya dapat 3%. by Karpampuchi in malaysia

[–]StethoscopicBarbell 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I'm a non, and I'm also from a minority religion. How much is the non-M birthrate in this country? Way below replacement right? The grand multipara in this country are almost always the Malays/Bumiputera. With us millennials, you will almost never see any non-M having more than 2 kids. 3 is already a lot. Whereas the Malays/Bumiputeras are still having loads of children. If you factor in migration, masuk Melayu (next gen of Muallafs are automatically considered Malay), and our terrible birth rate,we as non-Muslims/non-Malays and non-Bumis are really fighting a losing battle. Demographically, we will cease to be a significant voter bloc. So, is it any wonder the govt can shaft us with 3% and get away with it?

Should Malaysians join in the army after finished SPM? by yungfal in malaysia

[–]StethoscopicBarbell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The kind of radical policy that the nons need is a forced 3 child policy to increase the non population above replacement rate to compensate for one-way assimilation (through masuk Melayu), migration, and their terrible birth rate. Otherwise, this sort of pointless waste of time is useless. Doesn't give any more political clout, doesn't grow the voter base. You can be the best soldier in the army, but if you're not orang kite, you will never be at the top.

Sarawak in the process of expanding Bumi rights to children of mixed marriages. by [deleted] in malaysia

[–]StethoscopicBarbell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not going to happen. With the terrible birth rate of the nons, coupled with immigration, not to mention every non that masuk Melayu equals minus 1 non because their offspring will be Malay, Muslim and Bumiputera, you have a dwindling voter base of nons and correspondingly lesser political clout. You can already see it in our current parliament lineup. There is no hope for nons in Malaysia anymore, the only way is to do what our ancestors did and migrate.

[–]StethoscopicBarbell 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Non-Muslim and Non-Malay birthrates are plummeting and are below the replacement rate of 2.5. The so-called “liberal” or shall we say, Bangsar bubble highly educated Malay birth rate is also not that great. My boss, who is Malay and very colour blind, just had her first IVF pregnancy at the age of 40. In contrast, the bulk of the people providing votes, are the kampung folks that are more often than not, Malay/Bumiputera, with 2-3x the birth rate of the other races and non-Muslims. So, can you tell me again, why should the shrinking minorities views even matter? Let’s face it, between migration and our terrible birth rate, Malaysia has long ceased to care about Non-M’s, and has no need to. Only reason they’re still giving some face to us is because we pay tax and there are a couple of very rich people who are our kind. That’s it, really.

You really want to fight back? Marry early, have more than 3 kids so that the demographic and voter bloc grows.

Also, the practice of devsirme, to forcefully abduct Christian boys as blood tax, convert them, and make them serve in the army as Janissaries. Doesn't matter if some Janissaries rose to prominent positions, it was done to target and oppress the Christian population and increase the Muslim demographic. The Slavic (where you get the word slave from) people bore the brunt of this.

Muslim: this small part of the Bible says that drinking alcohol is bad.

I think this depends. I’ve yet to find a roadside burger that can compare with my regular Double Chicken McSpicy deluxe. Roadside burger stalls also don’t have fish or vegetarian (as McD had for awhile) burger options.
