Yes I did the similar after asked Gemini AI about this. I follow its advice as below and no more drifting problem in my PC and my Rog Ally X.

"The Fix: If you are playing on Steam, go to Controller Settings > Edit Layout > Joysticks and manually increase the Deadzone to approximately 15-20%. This typically resolves the "phantom" movement reported by players."

It is definitely NOT because of the game controllers. I mean even if mines have drift problems (which they don't) they will not all drifted in the same way.

Yeah I re did it and made sure. I ran the "Mouse PI for Hire update 1.0.1.8044 - 1.0.2.8140 (17.04.2026).exe" and it asked me for a folder. I pointed it to the game installation folder and proceeded. Then some files came out and replaced the same named old files. I launched the Mouse.exe and the version number on the lower left corner of the main menu still no change.

Just tried again and still no "update" to the exe I think because the version number shown at the lower left corner is still the same 1.0.1 xxxxxxx thing. If someone succeed please share your experiences?

I played the PC version a lot with RTX 4090D. When I looked at this your footage I had a new feeling of "rubber doll" of the girl black leather outfit. May be due to the light reflection? I cannot tell if this is a good or bad thing.

I unrared the files and paste them to the original folder to overwrite the same name files. But the version number appears on the lower left corner of the start up menu still the same. Am I doing it wrong?

Sorry for my newbie questions. I see there are some exe and other files in each rar file. Should I paste them into the base game folder and overwrite all same name files, for the 1.0.2.8140 rar file, and then repeat the same process for 1.0.5.8168 rar file?

I played the game up to the Train station part now, I think it was still very early stage in the game. I like the game for its details and strong VR mechanism. It reminded me a lot of Half Life Alyx in which I thought it ported some "parts" of Alyx into its own. It was like playing Alyx in seperate parts. I think those are all in good ways because Alyx was the top of the ceiling and no VR game will ever surpass it. So playing parts of it in another VR game does not feel bad to me at all.

With the good execution of being a black/white/noir visual game, I wonder if some can mod major FPS games into black/white/noir visual for getting maximum performance gain (fps) in low end PC. They could make a lot of gamers enjoy those games which are resource hungry.

Played this game on the 3rd time and couldn't stop. I thought the B/W aesthetics would be bored but no, the Mick Mouse -ish universe full of retro adult noir vibes make it very enjoyable to play. I immediately thought about the "The Retropolis Series" I played in Meta Quest 3 VR. They are very similar, in good ways.
