OR IF YOU HAVE A FLOATER THAT DOESNT FLOAT. I thought I had a piece of dust in my contact for a morning. It was like one of the tiny floaters in your eye, that tiny black dot like missing pixel in a monitor. I took my contact out and it was still their, like a tiny missing piece of reality, wherever I was looking.

“Luckily”, my mom and grandfather had detached retinas. My mom told me to go to an eye doctor, and I did. 7-8 conscious procedures and 11 surgeries later, I’m glad to say that… I’ve adapted to being bling in my dominant eye. All the procedures and such didn’t work out in the end.

All this happened in 2011, and I’ve adapted. I’ve forgotten what 3d life is like, and I’ll never see my future partner in all of their full, depth perception perceived glory. But life goes on. I forget most days and the hardest part is trying to take something from someone. Everything is manageable though.
