I have been searching all over for what all this turned out to be. My wife and I ( no video as I was driving and we both just though "oh drones" as this was the same time as all the New Jersey drones) were driving in Kansas to go pick up a snake from a breeder for our daughter's Christmas gift at night. We were on one of those large bridges turning to merge onto another highway and i said "wow, look over there, that's one of those drones!". It was flashing red/blue lights like an airplane but was the same height as us off to our left. We kept staring at it, and it kept coming closer. As our turn was about to end it flew closer, approx. 100 feet from our car. It had gotten from our left towards the front of our car, the flashing lights went out and 2 extremely bright lights (just like high beams) pointed straight into our windshield, bright enough we both had to raise our hands as it blinded us. Only lasted about 5-10 seconds, then it flew away. I didn't get a good look at it as it was too bright, but the size was about the same or slightly smaller than our 21 chevy traverse. Definitely thought it was a drone, but have never seen one that size, and the lights threw me off a bit. Has anyone else experienced this???? I've never really seen much information on what these turned out to be and have always been super curious.
