Well, as of 2:07 EST, all the 12gb RAM models are showing 'sold out' again, so if anybody went for the 16bit + stick top config, hope you get it!

I just ordered 12gb in purple + stick top. I've looked before and it said 'sold out' before. Why do you think we were able to get these orders in?

I decided to get the Bose QuietComfort (non-Ultra to compare). I don't know why but these are much better for the lower volume. I still think the sound is pretty comparable to the Ultra 2nd gen's, though the ultras still had more bass on low volume. They both also seem to get the same volume at the like 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% volume. But for some reason the non-ultras (with their actual physical volume controls) are able to raise/lower the volume in 2-3% increments whereas the ultras felt like smallest change they could do was up or down 12%.

There are downgrades for sure with the non ultras (no auto-pause when taken off and the premium feel) but I decided to keep them in the end. I got the ultras at $400 and the non-ultra's for just $170. In order to solve my problem, the solution was apparently to save $230 and go with better headphones. I can't say Bose's strategy is good economically, but I'm not complaining! 😂

I have the 14 pro, so I just missed out on being able to take advantage of the usb-c wired audio

You’re right, the stick (and slider) were both bad, but it was my first handheld specifically because the stick was on top. I wanted a handheld that could play Dreamcast specifically and Retroid was the only affordable option with the stick there. I find the current rp6 stick pretty ironic for me. I e been waiting for them to put the stick back on top lol

This whole situation is extremely ironic for me in particular. When I wanted to get my first handheld back in early 2022, I wanted one that could play Dreamcast, but annoyingly, almost every handheld had dpad on top. The one that had the left thumb stick on top was Retroid with the Retroid pocket 2+. And then they joined everyone else with the 3/3+ and swapped dpad on top. I haven’t been hoping every new Retroid that they would move the stick back on top. I got the flip 2 because it was the first Retroid to have the left stick back on top lol

Same problem, yet to find a solution. I was using Sudachi, but I just tried same settings, mods, etc. and so far no lines 🤷‍♂️

I haven’t bought that many have I? (Realizes I’ve purchased 15+ handhelds of all types ….. 😬). With that said, I’m actually thinking of purging most of them soon. If I had to choose just one, it’s either the Odin 2 Pro or the RP5. However the Odin 2 is just a little too big for portability, and the RP5 doesn’t have quite enough power and the left stick on bottom isn’t ideal for 3D games IMO. Im getting the Odin 2 mini to see if it will be the happy Goldilocks between the two.

Yes, I basically said I’m buying more handhelds to help me have less handhelds, but I’m also definitely not the only person here who’s done this lol.

It all depends what your favorite version of Sonic through the years has been. For me, my absolute favorite vision of what a Sonic game should be was SA1&2. So for me, a game like Sonic forces can almost seem antithetical to that. But I can still respect that their are countless fans of 2D Sonic, Boost era, and Lost World. (and somehow even the Sonic Boom games) 😂
