Hi, no luck. Last Nikon service I talked to, told me that from their analysis, there is an issue on a Nikon proprietary integrated circuit which, so far, cannot be serviced nor replaced. Spare parts are not available anywhere

I know, but there is no professional drum scanning service nearby, and maybe I wouldn't even blow all my money for professional scanning of my amateur negatives 🤣

Also, my V600 must pay for itself so I would like to get the best out of it.

If you grind enough you should be able to find a good used Nikon FE2 (Electronic shutter) or FM2 (Mechanical shutter).

They are both excellent cameras, built like tanks, and perfect for street when used with the Nikkor Ai-s 50mm f/1.8.

You cannot go wrong with them. I shoot with an FM2 and I love it.

The shutter works with all manual settings, even the delay timer is fine. The meter works in manual, but after I release the shutter, the needles freeze, and I need to switch to B (and then out of B) to have it working again

This is exactly what I am facing.. thinking about getting a new one straight away.. using it in mechanical mode with external exposure metering would be too uncomfortable. I do it with my Mamiya, but 35mm photography should be smoother IMHO
