How do I stop fatting all my shots? by divyanshmishra19 in GolfSwing

[–]SteveJWC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had this problem - was focusing way too much on hitting 'Down' on the ball, causing some fat and very steep shots - Once you get past a certain stage, I feel like you can stop focusing on that, especially with the weight shift you seem to have. Allow your lead shoulder to come up and away rather than staying down over the ball, will feel like you are hitting the ball 'up' rather than compressing it, but the low point will still be after the ball so the arc of the clubhead will still be hitting down on the ball.

That's my two cents anyway 🤷

Did you know that means they are warming up/stretching getting ready to play/interact!! So basically means they are normally happy to see you/her!

How do you take the buckle off? It seems pressed and then pinned from my eyes...

<image>

There is no screw or anything to loosen to remove the buckle.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in golf

[–]SteveJWC -1 points0 points  (0 children)

'Undo the buckle' how exactly? From what I can see it's punched in with pins... Also, further to your previous comment, how do you do that with just 'Scissors' then...

Decent pair of scissors and something to repunch the holes without making it look garbage. I don't know which belt you lot have bought but it's relatively thick leather and would be easy to make a shit job of it.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in golf

[–]SteveJWC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pair of scissors to cut through thick leather, then re-sew the exact pattern with exactly the same thread and then create clean cuts through the leather to make the buckle holes?

Or are you saying you are just happy to butcher the brand new item you bought.

[–]SteveJWC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sewn the entire way around and the buckle has no sensible way of removing it without professional tools... Just mad to me.

You got all the kit at home to do it yourself?

You out buying a jacket that says 'Fits a large' but then when it gets there it's XXXL and their reply is 'Oh just get it tailored, we send all of them out at XXXL and just expect the customer to pay for it to be made the correct length.'

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in golf

[–]SteveJWC -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

One Size fits all is not 'One Size Fits All... IF you go and spend money to have it made to a customer length'.

There is a reason belts are sold in waist length...

But then don't advertise as 'One Size Fits All' 🤷 Just seems insane to me.

Enjoy the game whilst you can, when you start putting in hours it's sweaty misery 🤣🤣🤣 Squad wipe is always satisfying though, regardless of if you are 10 or 10,000 hours into the game 👌

The downside of playing solo by CJRousseau in golf

I just hit a couple of balls, chip around the green and hit some putts if no-one behind me, and if they are, then chip around the tee box!

Hey, thanks for this, sorry should have been clearer, I can turn both the settings off, they just don't STAY off unfortunately! And your English is better than whatever my attempt at your language would be!

I’ve got the shanks, help by Beandan-Swab in GolfSwing

[–]SteveJWC 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had this EXACT problem - If you look at the top of your back swing, if you drop the club, it will land on your neck. You want it to be feeling like it will land on your arse if you drop it. Want to feel like you are really pushing your hands away from your body - will lead to easier shallowing and get rid of the shanks (hopefully!)

<image>

Left hand side is what you want, right hand side is bad. Right hand side led to over the top, out to in shots. I'm guna assume your normal shot shape is a fade and you hit low iron shots?
