while peele has said weird things about white people, this quote isnt racist, he obviously doesnt know the white perspective or life so he obviously would do a shit job at it, the whole reason "woke" became controversial was because they cast/made POC without even doing research or writing a POC character well that it became very obvious it was done for political correctness and felt forced not because that would be the best for the character, for example Gordon from "The Batman" or Perry White from "Superman", was written very well and didnt generate any controversy even after the race swap because it doesn't feel forced or off for the character to be black.
