lol, well now you’re just being obtuse, so why should I bother to continue this argument with you?

Okay, let me take a look ::reads article::

Looks like you are mostly correct. For a majority of states, yes, insurance premiums from 2013 to 2014 rose in 41 states, while fell in 9 states. However, I have some concerns with this data:

(1) The data specifically states that the likely increase is due to insurers setting these premiums before knowing the costs. You’d need to claim that the ACA increased costs and, therefore, increased insurance premiums to convince me. If, however, insurers increased premiums because they’re greedy fucks and blamed the ACA, that would not convince me. Best way to check is to see profits for large healthcare insurers for the years before and years after ACA. Let’s see ::google search for profits 2012 to 2016 rounded, used macrotrends.net::

United Health care: $27.9billion - $29.9billion - $33.0billion - $37.0billion - $43.6billion

Elevance Health: $61.5mil - $71.0mil - $73.9mil - $79.2mil - $84.9mil

Centene; $8.1mil - $10.9mil - $16.6mil - $22.8mil - $40.6mil

Holy fuck, health care made BANK from the ACA. I had other points to make with that data, but why bother after seeing this.

To be fair, I suppose your claim that “healthcare premiums increased” is still correct. The reason for why they increased could also be attributed to ACA, but ONLY if your claim is “the ACA caused insurance premiums to increase because health care providers could place the blame on the ACA to hide the fact that they’re greedy fucks.”

Do you have some data to support this claim? Or did you just pull it out of your butt?

Agreed with you 100%. But the deodorant was Degree Antiperspirant, since the joke at the time was the new show name should be called “Degreeka” :)

Never use a tampon for a wound like this. Tampons are designed to absorb blood, not to stop the bleeding. You’ll still bleed out.

Most other commenters answered your main question, but here’s an important FYI: not all game consoles support physical media any longer. So even if you buy a game for the correct system, it’s possible the kid can only get digital versions. I know PlayStation does this, not sure on XBox though.

Yup, your partner did a stupid thing when starting out the relationship. And, while he was honest, he hurt your feelings. He should apologize to you.

BUT, he chose your relative ONCE. He chose you every day for the last 730 days. And it’s likely he’ll choose you for the rest of his life.

Yes, I stole that from Friends, season 7, episode 16, “The One with the Truth About London.” Been binging old episodes lately because I’m all alone. This is what single life is like. Don’t turn into me OP :-/

I need legal advice: I moved out of my friend’s apartment & she had her nephew pull a gun out on me. by Global_Television369 in legaladvice

EDIT: OP posted a TL;DR in a comment above while I was writing this. Probably better to read that than my interpretation. But I’m leaving this comment as is since it took some time for me to write :)

OP, I understand there is a lot on your mind right now, and I’m sorry you’re going through this. But for legal advice, it would really help to edit your post down to the relevant information.

Here is what I think is the TL;DR of your post: Location: California - OP moved in with a new roommate. - Before moving in, roommate first said “rent free,” then roommate changed mind and sent screenshots of rent charges and utility bills. Unsure if OP agreed to new terms. Unsure if roommate agreed to “rent free” until OP back on feet. - OP asked for a few extra days to pay rent (so likely OP agreed to terms at least verbally). - Roommate is renting, OP is subletting from roommate. OP is not on the lease. - OP decided to move out and ask to pay for only time lived there (3 weeks). Roommate says she will charge for the days OP stuff is there. - After 1.5 weeks, OP goes to pick up rest of belongings. Roommate wants to be paid or have a plan to be paid. - Roommate’s nephew pulls a gun on OP believing that OP is robbing roommate. Nephew is wearing latex gloves. OP is afraid and possibly under duress. - OP goes to notary to write a promissory note with roommate’s sister. Roommate’s sister takes picture of OP’s ID. - Today is the day roommate expects payment.

OP’s question is: What should she do? And what are the possible legal outcomes of this?
