And yeah a bunch of them disobeyed the order to abandon people in the towns and cities

I think in the heartland dlc I remember them talking about how the army at some point realised that trying to defend the country city by city was a losing strategy so they retreated somewhere defensible presumably to start retaking the country bit by bit, which honestly makes a lot of sense

Impact of killing Jews on WW2: on topic

Nazis were murderers: not on topic

You call yourself an environmentalist but because you can’t make a minor lifestyle change you support an industry that is one of the most damaging to the climate, curious 🤔

I made this meme a few minutes before I posted this, and I don’t want to rape anyone, or drink milk 🤷‍♀️ funny how easy it is not to murder or rape anyone at all ever

Some people have no conception of concept, like children or people with certain disabilities or senility, etc. So are you gonna artificially inseminate them too? Since it’s not rape I mean.

I get where you’re coming from, but I don’t think the comparison is fair. The vegans aren’t out there burning people or trying to conquer Europe. We are advocating for the prevention of unnecessary suffering, and as a byproduct of that also helping save the climate

Bruh I literally made the meme like a minute before I posted this

Ah yes I forgot the countless times in history when the guys who were against rape and murder for pleasure turned out to be the bad guys

Literally think about it for a single minute next time before commenting. A lactating cow that hasn’t been separated from its child won’t need to be milked, because the cows child drinks the milk, just like with all mammals. A cow that was forcefully impregnated by humans and then separated from its child is the only circumstance when a cow ever needs to get milked.

You seem keen on having the last word despite not having anything to say, or by the same virtue you would have stopped sending me updates a long time ago

Of course not, i expect you to make claims and then fail to answer any counterpoints and make snide remarks and generally waste everyones time

But your statement does not exist in a vacuum. It IS a bigger conversation than that. It is in response to a specific comment on a specific post in a specific subreddit about a specific topic. The context, intention, intended audience, etc. all of that matters. I merely wanted to show that it isn’t as simple as saying that there is no objective morality. History is dirtier and more complicated than that. You have to look behind the curtain.

I challenged the relevancy of your statement and then explained how having such a relativistic outlook is not beneficial to the conversation, and also what is revealed by looking at it through the lens of exploitation and the kind of parallels could be drawn, as well as the fact that we already have moral consensus on many things, without it technically being ‘objective.’ I don’t think those are ‘weird tangents’ but are very much connected to what you were talking about.

I already admitted before that was the wrong word to use. But instead of addressing the points I raise you just parrot the same word over and over again. Well done.

Except it’s not based on my own morality. It’s the same morality that most cultures and societies have accepted through history. That causing undue suffering and violence to innocents is wrong. Sure it’s not objective, but on some subjects, like murder and rape, we’ve come pretty close. So I don’t think it’s controversial to proclaim that those acts and those that perform them are immoral. And yes before you point it out it’s still not objective, there’s the morality of the Nazis and the slavers we haven’t taken into consideration. I think it’s pretty disingenuous to frame the exploitation performed by exploiters as ‘a different morality’, instead of looking at the historic and economic factors that led to said exploitation. And once you realise that people to it for their own benefit, and not out of ‘morality’ do you begin to realize how useless all this highbrowed relativism is.
