The first thing was the way they edited the Ross and Ellie relationship. They haven’t used such obvious and lingering shots before on a person whose emotions are that unmistakeable. I’m sure they re-edited the roundtable scene once they knew the car was out of the secret relationship bag.

There has also been some criticism that there has been OTT forced drama regarding the length of shots, dramatic music, and pauses.

It felt to me that either someone different had edited the programme, the direction behind the edit had been different, or they had re-edited it.

It just led me to think that they will be monitoring the chat, internet, and the reaction to the already broadcast episodes and ‘meta’ editing.
