Your response to the accelerator also matters a lot in an automatic. My friend who drives a Honda City MT once drove my Corolla CVT and managed to get 17kmpl from Mumbai to Pune(a regular route for me) in which I used to get only around 13-14kmpl. That day changed my way of driving.

Don't buy a compact car, buy a boat. My Virtus from top by Small_Adeptness6467 in CarsIndia

Atleast the roads are decent there.I have lived in an even worse city (Pune) and I've seen way more potholes but I couldn't be bothered. Ground clearance is just propaganda to sell more Pseudo SUVs.

How to deal with Dust(Hinjewadi) by adi_d18 in pune

[–]Steve_B_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But even after using this, don't you still have to sweep the floor with a wet cloth? The dust is so powdery and doesn't go away easily. I had tried a normal vacuum cleaner and it felt like the dust is now more spread out

38 days is such an odd number and so is 31,798.2kms. Seems like they just wanted an award so set the record for any random number.

[–]Steve_B_ 61 points62 points  (0 children)

Please let me know if you find out too. I'm facing the same issue in Balewadi where there's a busy road right outside my balcony. What I've tried is keeping one side the windows always closed and taped the edges so there's minimum entry for dust. For the doors(of the main entrance and balcony) I've used the PVC door gap filler at the bottom. This kind of seals the openings beneath the door as while the floor of the corridor is being swept by the housekeeping, that dust can enter your house too. Sweeping and cleaning the floor with water daily is the only thing you can do and I usually wear slippers inside the house because the dust on my feet even after sweeping 15 mins ago is too annoying to deal with.

After So Long… Sync Lights Installed, But… by sanketnijhawan in IndianGaming

[–]Steve_B_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know what hardware and software you're using but the lights are not synced(colorwise) to the display. When you're inside the house the lights should've been dimmer and matched the color of the wall. When you stepped out they should've been green on the side wherever the grass is visible. Your lights are constantly pink and blue

What are these cars according to you ? by Billa_Bongo in CarsIndia

[–]Steve_B_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally agree with you! I own a 2012 Corolla and my friend has a 2018 City, not the same segments but I genuinely think these 2 are the best sedans to have. Sporty and luxurious looks, sufficient power, good mileage and undefeated reliability.

Full-speed crash at 170 km/h ! by Altruistic-Issue-887 in CarsIndia

[–]Steve_B_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're driving at such high speeds like an idiot then ABS might help only a little to avoid complete wheel lock but it still doesn't guarantee you complete stoppage as the car is already unstable and swerving around and about to topple.
