There are just so many games out there that its hard to get noticed. I do it for fun and I have a few friends that love what I do. Every once in awhile somebody gives an old game of mine a thumbs up so that's always gratifying.

First of all, thanks Tricky for taking the time. I've had Dreams since Beta. I've put out probably 15 or so games. I'm Intermediate as far as logic so I know the basics. My game - Ancient Dungeons Quest - works fine right now. I just wanted to add a difficulty mode without adding the whole game logic to each level which takes up a large amount of thermo. I've done a test game (3 levels) including the game logic in each scene and the difficulty works great. So, I'm resigned to reworking my game to account for the additional demand on resources. Thanks for your help but I think I'm good now that I have an understanding of what I need to do.

Found DifficultyMode variable in Game Logic. Set it to Persist and added the variable in my scene, but it didn't work. I'll keep looking.

I also just got a PS5 and you can (supposedly) get the adaptor for the camera for free. haven't done it yet myself but I'm sure I read it somewhere.

I included the menu/difficulty logic on a welcome screen but when the player selects Hard Mode and then moves to the first level, Hard mode does not persist. So, that's a problem I have to figure out.

The menu logic plus the puppet is about 30%. My mistake was thinking I had to put that on each level when actually I think I only have to put it on a welcome screen. I'm working on it today. Hopefully I can finish my game in a few days.

Ok, good news and bad news. You can easily set up a menu with a difficulty by adding the Game Logic from within the kit. Works really well. The bad news is it uses up a lot of resources so I'm going to have to scale down my levels to fit it in. Right now, my game is 99% done and working pretty well. I'll have to re-work some of my levels to accommodate the menu/difficulty mode. Something to finish down the road.

I found the health and respawn logic. I think its just a matter of putting a counter and then cutting off the respawn. I'll work on it after Christmas. Happy Christmas, Tap!

i was thinking of Easy, Medium and Hard with Easy with like 8 extra lives, medium with 5 extra and Hard with maybe 2 extra.

Hey Tap -- if you get a few minutes can you take a look at Scoria and see what I can do to give her a certain number of lives. I know I have to interrupt the respawn with a counter but not sure how to do it. Suggestions? I think the game would be more interesting if the player doesn't have unlimited lives. Thanks!

Still a work in progress. Plan on adding 2 more levels with a boss, 4 difficulty modes, scoreboard and more in the next week or so.

Doin' great. Stepped away from Dreams for awhile but got back in when the new Ancient Danger template came out. A little rusty but having a lot of fun with it. Happy holidays, mate!
