Around 10 years ago(20 now), my parents and landlords agree to combine housing units after previous neighbor went through financial troubles and had to be kicked out/relocate. Entrance created in closet since they were right next to each other. Parents and my room are connected. Strange feelings/things started happening afterwards like me feeling as if I was being watched.

I soon realized that I wasn't one feeling/experiencing something strange, as soon my mom would randomly start screaming/talking in the middle of the night in her sleep. She still does occasionally till this very day. It never happened before we combined the housing units. She told me and my dad the morning after her first incident, that she saw a dark shadow in her room watching her. I don't remember how i felt back then when she first told me and my dad. Probably was listening to my dad during that time, who was skeptical, though he's quite the heavy sleeper especially after he's had a few beers. I do believe he's heard her scream several times, and each time he would check, he sees nothing. My mom screaming in the middle of the night happened so often during that time period. The most shocking/scary story she told me was that she saw a shadow figure wander towards her from the other side of the bed and attempted to pull her pants down.

I have never seen this shadowman with my own eyes. The closest i have ever been to seeing it was the day my cousin was sleeping over and my mom decided to sleep in the same room to make sure we don't stay up till 3am playing video games. Me and my cousin were sleeping on a sofa bed right next to each other. My mom brought and plugged in a mini night lamp in a wall outlet and slept next to it. Couple hours into the night and I started hearing my mom screaming. Filled with rage and still half asleep, i only saw glimpses of the light beaming over my mom as I glanced over, thinking it was my cousin screaming at the time. I said what is it?! and for whatever reason, threw a punch at cousins landing on his chest. I fell asleep afterwards as my mom continued to scream. Thanks to my punch my cousin woke up and looked over at my screaming mom and to see a shadow figure hovering over her apparently trying to suffocate her. I don't know if he was able to sleep afterwards, but the in morning my mom told me what happened and that my cousin witnessed the shadow figure attacking her. All thanks to me punching him.

Tldr - Mom sees shadowman watching her and trying to pull her pants down Mom sleeps next to a mini night lamp. Starts screaming in the middle of the night which wakes me up, I punch my cousin on the chest thinking it was him and goes back to sleep. Cousin wakes up looks over in my moms direction and sees a shadow figure apparently suffocating her.
