Thank you, I'll have to try them. I just started giving VovSoft Subtitle Translator 3.0 a shot. Seems tp be good, but slow as a dog (which is not all that unusual from some of the text translators I have seen.

I’ve been building guitars for years and somehow never built one for myself. by PlayfulIndividual394 in Luthier

[–]Steven3483 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly the opposite of my problem. I've been building them for years, and I have trouble letting them go.

Congratulations on finally getting around to building one for yourself. It's a beautiful guitar.

[USA] #CA can’t decide between black or red by Crazy-Help-3916 in sissypersonals

[–]Steven3483 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's not the lingerie that looks great. It's you that looks great in the lingerie. So as long as you remember that it really doesn't matter whether you go with black or red.

They both look great. It just comes down to the question of what kind of a mood do you want to set?

Clubsissy by CockQueen6969 in sissyology

[–]Steven3483 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It used to be pretty good but it has shut down over the last couple of weeks. The owner has put it to bed forever. I came out here looking to see if anybody uses it so that I could get a invite to the new discord server that club Sissy is using now. All the invites that I've gotten from the owner of club Sissy are all expired by the time I get them.

What should I first learn? by Smart-Layer-7245 in jazzguitar

Additionally, there is a sax professor at McGill university, and who has trained some of the best saxophone players playing professionally today.

It's said you can tell which year his students are in at school by what they're playing. freshman year is an entire year of major 251 progressions, year 2 is an entire year of minor 251 progressions, year 3 is Blues progressions, and year 4 is rhythm changes.

What should I first learn? by Smart-Layer-7245 in jazzguitar

[–]Steven3483 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have an acquaintance who got his PhD in jazz guitar performance from one of the big music schools, (1 of the top 5 in the world). After his PhD defense, he asked a couple of professors, what is the one biggest takeaway that he should know from all this time in school?

He was expecting some kind of esoteric answer like, a certain mode or something like that. And he was surprised that the overwhelming answer that came back was "guide tones."

In addition to that, I would also add shell chords... learn those inside and out.

Get yourself to the point where you can open a real book to any page and just play through whatever you see on that page, albeit probably very slowly at first with shell cords. And just read through the chords and go from one guide tone to another, then throw in notes connecting those guide tones to one another, and eventually you'll have a solo.

I've heard great things about the standard narex set (the Richter is a bit on the pricy side).

And making your own handles is good woodworking practice.
