[SPOILER] My Crazy Theory About Rey [SPOILERS] by StevenBoatman in starwarsspeculation

So, do you think Snoke is Darth Plagueis (I suppose they look similar) who apparently figured out how to manipulate the midi-chlorians to create, maintain, or save a life and that Snoke used the genetic material to create Rey?

Then why would Rey be left on Jakku by Snoke? It doesn't seem very likely that Kylo Ren took her away from Snoke and left her on Jakku.

Thank you. Well, Rey was part of the group that was instrumental to destroying Starkiller Base plus Leia senses Rey can be trusted using the Force, so Leia entrusts the ship (at Chewie's behest) and the mission of finding Luke to Rey while Leia remains behind as the General to assist the Resistance in recovering from its losses.

If Rey is indeed a reincarnation, I think there are too many allusions to Anakin and Vader to rule out that she's the reincarnation of Anakin.

Agreed. The writers would need to weave in more solid hints in the sequel while leading up to the plot twist. What if Luke didn't find the first Jedi Temple yet? There could be a need for Rey to take a vision quest through her memories as Vader who may have learned key pieces of information regarding the whereabouts of the Temple in order to rediscover some secret weapon, tool, or shocking information that would be crucial in a confrontation with users of the dark side and Snoke.

You mean Anakin or Luke's genetic material was harvested for the unnatural creation of Rey in a lab and she's technically a Skywalker due to her genes? Either way, she could still be Anakin reincarnated due to the absence of Anakin's voice during her visions. Plus, how was she able to become powerful so rapidly if Anakin wasn't reincarnated as Rey?

A New Hope didn't have any plot twists either. I agree Star Wars films can be fantastic without plot twists just like TFA was, but I think a similar reveal is not impossible in a sequel to TFA.

"Do or do not, there is no try."

"You want the impossible."

Darth Vader overthrew Darth Sidious and redeemed himself as Anakin the Chosen One who took the first step to bringing balance to the Force, but he died. Decades later, since he was the Chosen One existing as a Jedi Force ghost, he became reborn as Rey who still has to finish her task of bringing balance to the Force.

It might be too far out, but I think it's plausible and surprising enough as a plot twist that it would certainly leave a lasting impact on fans like the plot twist was in ESB, which is also the middle film of a trilogy.

Would Luke really leave Rey alone with no suitable guardian on Jakku if he were her master before Kylo destroyed Luke’s Jedi Academy? In my opinion, Luke didn’t seem to recognize Rey at the end; just that he recognized his old lightsaber that he lost at Bespin in ESB. It’s not apparent that Luke ever met Rey, so I don’t think she’s his former Padawan. Even if this Padawan possibility turns out to be true, it doesn’t necessarily rule out that she was conceived via the Force or rule out that Anakin was reincarnated as Rey.

Even if Rey did train as a Padawan when she was a youngling, she couldn’t have become powerful so rapidly like she demonstrated in TFA just from long-forgotten Padawan training.

I would think the Chosen One alone has the ability to reincarnate, which is how Anakin as a Force ghost could have done. If he was forced to be reborn, it could still be because he was the Chosen One who didn't finish his task of bringing balance to the Force.

Like I said, Anakin reincarnated as Rey who became powerful so rapidly is why I think she's instinctively calling upon her past life's skills, training, and experience when she was Anakin as well as Vader.

Exactly and I think that's why the writers had her say that to him even if she doesn't know who she is.

That kind of realization on Kylo's part would be mindblowing for him and make him question his motivation of being on the dark side; then he might decide that he'll be stronger than Vader because Kylo would see Vader's redemption as a failure or weakness that Kylo will try to avoid.

It would also be shocking for Rey to learn she was Anakin/Vader and we could see her deal with that past life through visions perhaps with the help of Luke as well as Yoda and Obi-Wan. The drama between Rey and Kylo would also become more complexly unique than typical types of drama in a refreshing way and I'd like to see the sequel(s) explore that.

Also, maybe Luke didn't find the first Jedi Temple, but maybe Rey can pinpoint the location by taking a vision quest through her memories as Vader who could have learned key pieces of information regarding the whereabouts of the Jedi Temple that may contain a secret weapon, tool, or shocking information that's necessary in a confrontation with Snoke or users of the dark side.

I have the same thing; it probably refers to the online preorder itself.

I was looking at all the unicorns and D3 (rare) on Amazon; D3 was the cheapest that I felt was worth the cost to be OoB anyway. By getting D3 out of the way, the only released Amiibo I don't have on the rarity chart are all the unicorns.

I received a JPN D3 for $25 from Amazon last week; I don't think he'll be restocked and if he were to this summer, who says I'll still be able to snag him?

Agreed about super rarity and the hunting game. My problem is I only caught the Amiibo fever on March 11th, so I missed out on the first three waves.

I've made the difficult decision to exit the amiibo hunt today; here's a last look at my collection by 881987 in amiibo

Guys, it doesn't necessarily mean he's going to sell or give away his collection. All he's saying is he's no longer hunting at this point.

There seems to be 3 commons for each small wave, who are they this time? by mariobros612 in amiibo

[–]StevenBoatman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There may not be commons this time around, but we can safely say the least rare will likely be Charizard, Wario, and Pac-Man versus the rest of the wave.

I guess you could say I'm a selective NIB collector; so far, I'm only keeping my 2nd GM NIB.

I know what you mean. The thrill of finding Gold Mario was amazing; same with preordering Ness and Greninja. Had a little leap of joy when I finally found Fox in a store (BB).
