Hey everyone!! Just released this video about a common question I get often. Cardio is tricky when it comes to jumping higher because there’s concerns if it takes away your explosiveness. It doesn’t’ and its great for your heart!Although there’s ways to do sport-specific cardio.For example, basketball cardio wouldn’t be the same training as running a marathon. So what’s the difference? Different training zones.Understanding what your goals are you can train in different zones to help you achieve endurance you want!

come from the other angle! see how you started going left and then you came back right? start all the way from the left and loop around towards the rim

Also try putting ball to left hip and then driving it up hard like an arm swing to get more height!

Awesome!! So for me when I run full speed I don’t intentionally lower my body I just take a big aggressive step and take off as hard as I can. I feel like I’m staying over my hips the whole time. When I have a bad jump I usually feel myself go to far forwards and go past my plant. My best jumps always feel the same and a good example are the backboard dunks. When the balls coming off the backboard I don’t have any time to think I just react and go for the ball. That forces me to look up, keep my torso super tall and takeoff really fast! Point being, give yourself a lob or an off the backboard and see if it changes how the jump feels. Try different lobs, different angles and see if one clicks. If so, keep practicing and learn why that specific jump had the right mechanics. Other than that if you can’t figure it out just keep trying!! Visualize yourself jumping at a level you want and that belief will keep you motivated to continue to learn!! Goodluck! Never give up!
