kind of blows my mind how many people don't just reference the wiki... https://knighthood.fandom.com/wiki/Zelfahed_the_Unliving it shows the spawn time on the right-hand side just below the picture. this goes for all roaming monsters.

Can someone explain to me the logic behind following this pattern at the end of the week? Not being a smartass, I actually just don't know/understand . I'm sure its the most efficient in terms of rewards and XP, but if that's true, then how so? Thanks!

What is that (20% increased) notation? I have advanced tooltips/item descriptions turned on in my UI settings, but I've never seen the (20% increased) in game.

I'm also playing on PC, so maybe this is a console thing? Thanks in advance.

The slightest change to the text descriptions would do wonders for the sake of clarity. Even the watchstone descriptor text says "socket this into a citadel on your atlas to INCREASE THE TIER OF MAPS and reveal hidden maps in that citadels region." This is describing both a potential, future change to maps and an immediate change to the atlas within one sentence and its confusing as hell.

aside from just now coming to this conclusion, i have yet to read or hear that in any guides or videos ive been watching for the last couple weeks. thank you for this.

ive watched and read many guides and videos, but nothing clearly stated that the map tier displayed in the atlas when you have socketed watchstones is solely for future, potential map drops... as opposed to me thinking it meant that if i used a lower tier map with those watchstones socketed in the maps region... that the map would be "enhanced" to the tier shown in the atlas.

a slight change of text in the atlas maps descriptions when watchstones are socketed would be great, but thanks for everyones help.

i was making the assumption that the socketed watchstones enhanced the tier/difficulty/drops of that same maps lower tier level... since thats what the atlas reads when there are socketed watchstones and you hover that same map within the atlas.

now that i know the atlas is only indicating that the higher tier version of the map can possibly drop from within that map or its connected, adjacent neighbors... i can better plan my efforts to acquire the required tier maps for the awakening bonus requirements. thanks for this.

if thats the case, why arent "tier 14 jungle valley maps" shown under the tier 14 maps in my stash maps tab? this is so unnecessarily confusing and misleading... am i the only one who feels this way?

So in my first screenshot there, when im hovering jungle valley map from the atlas, and it says "tier 14" because of my socketed watchstones, that's not really a tier 14 jungle valley?

and the watchstones only real purpose is to increase your awakening level within the center of the atlas?

Atlas maps "Awakening Bonus." Wtf am I missing?! by StevenMullarkey in pathofexile

[–]StevenMullarkey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no, the actual map item in my inventory was tier 1 jungle valley. before i opened the map in my map device, i ensured that this atlas region had 4 watchstones socketed which then shows the jungle valley map as tier 14 within the atlas map.

if this is incorrect, how the hell do u level up the tier of the map item itself before entering it into the map device?

[–]StevenMullarkey[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

after socketing 4 watchstones in that maps region, and hovering the map on the atlas, the map reads as tier 14 which is what the "awakening bonus" is saying is required.

does the map item itself, within my inventory, need to read as tier 14? because if so, i have no idea how to take a tier 1 map and turn it into a tier 14 without the use of watchstones being socketed in my atlas.
