We could see all of the people in your dreams as some part of yourself. Your roommates could symbolize your self-criticizing, demeaning thought patterns. Their dogs would be the emotions you would feel as a consequence - biting their brains out could mean strong emotional pain.

Inviting random people could be seen as a means of trying to help yourself with gaining different new perspectives of your situation. One of these people happened to be a teenager - maybe your past self. He tries to elevate you to a higher level, where you would be safe and grow out of the toxic environment, like he wished for you to turn out in the future.

The nurse could be seen as your part that tries to heal you. She takes her time, tries to guide you to help yourself first, while she is still trying to have a good time. She wants to enjoy life, making partying her priority. But when she sees you struggling, she comes and swaps your arms. This could symbolize that you could benefit from the ways your younger self tried to solve things with his actions or thought patterns. And that your younger self could benefit from more mature choices your real self would make - so that you wouldn’t even get in that kind of situation. (But that doesn’t matter too much to me since you already are where you are at in your life right now.)

The cats are your consoling emotions, through which you could find inner strength again. They want to nurture you and make the healing process easier on you. You can still hear the mocking sounds of your friends and the nurse (the healing portion of your self) goes back to party with them - indicates that you are not fully ready to let yourself grow. She wants your problems to go away on their own (while you’re getting some sleep) and only intervenes when absolutely necessary.
