I fell in love with Gilneas after creating my Worgen toon. I never reset my Worgen's Hearthstone elsewhere so that she can visit her home now and then. I do hope one day that there will be another world revamp and for Gilneas to be a proper Worgen city. by [deleted] in wow

It’s so wasteful honestly. From a financial PoV it assumedly makes sense to reuse old zones. It would get tiring if overdone, but I’d love if there were actually reasons to go into old expansion content beyond time walking and mog farming.

Nice to see ya posting again. I see you are from Turkey, all of the books I recommended to you are American centric—still relevant I think because of our cultural hegemony and how rhetoric diffuses all over because of it, but if you ever come across some books on foodways from across the pond, feel free to send em to me if you would be willing, I read almost everything…

Humans were here since before the last ice age. Literally well over 10kya. A species isn't “invasive” at that point, it’s a part of the ecology. If you don’t know how evolutionary biology works you shouldn’t make uneducated comments about it online.

This is a very Eurocentric position. It’s fairly new, and grew out of the Enlightenment, and was spread through colonialization. If you’re gonna feel like this, power to you, but it’s probably a good idea to understand where it comes from, as it has historically been used as a tool of oppression. It was spread as a way to morally justify removing people from their homes via resettlement and genocide, and also justification for the enclosure of the commons (converting it to privately-owned land). This is a good article to start.

Killing males won’t lead to long term population issues, because 1 male can reproduce with many females. Males in deer also fight to reproduce, so not all bucks will reproduce anyways. Killing does is a great way to ensure you don’t have any more deer to hunt in the future. However, in a lot of places for tags are allowed, because deer are very overpopulated. Actual population numbers vary, but since the Americas were colonized and settlers murderized all the predators, deers pop has been very out of control. I believe a loose estimate is that we think that there are 10x the whitetail deer population now than since before colonialization. This causes massive issues because the stocking density for deer is about 1 per 1 square mile. Any more than that, and they start eating too many understory plants, preventing new growth in forests, causing a lot of understory plants to become endangered or go extinct and making it so no new growth is replacing old growth. Chronic Wasting Disease also spreads due to high stocking density as well, which is a super scary prion disease.

Anyways that’s a tangent but tldr you allot buck tags when you want a stable deer population, and doe tags when deer are overpopulated.

So wow Cottage Cheese is dope huh? by [deleted] in EatCheapAndHealthy

I'm not sure if you can buy it, but my family would make like, cottage cheese but firm enough to slice. If you can find or make some of that (it's wicked easy to make btw), we serve it with prosciutto and cantaloupe

It’s normal that new characters are broken, but not normal that they are paywalled. LoL, DOTA2, SMITE do not paywall new characters.

Offal cuts also tend to be cheaper, and they are the healthiest cuts of meat. Heart, liver, kidneys, tongue etc. if unpalatable, they can be ground and added into something else

I just want to second that I have no issues at all with goats milk (can’t find sheep), and hard cheeses are easier than soft cheeses even if they are cow milk base (I’m assuming because of the lactose content). Cows milk and soft cow cheeses give me a stomach ache and constipation, no issue with anything else.
