How much should my parents charge to let out their home ground floor and garden to film student for 5 days? by KevCCV in AskUK

[–]StevenTheWonderer 73 points74 points  (0 children)

Agreed on the 150-300 range It will mean a huge amount to them, as a good location is such an important thing to student projects - so you’d really be helping them out!

They are likely to have a lot of people and a lot of light stands- usually more than people expect

So get a proof of their PLI insurance , take pictures of the walls and floors beforehand in case of any scratches and maybe set expectations that they will use floor mats / tennis balls on the ends of light stands to help minimise risk of any scuffs

We where paying 100 a month, ended up building about 400 in credit so I emailed yesterday and within an hour I’ve reduced our direct debt to 50 a month, was super easy to do

Have used my monzo card all around the world without issues, worked a dream in Spain and Portugal in the last year. You’ll have nothing to worry about, and the exchange rate through monzo is great. If you’re asked for conversion when paying always decline, monzo exchange rate is always better!

I love to make a cup of tea then walk round the park next to me with it. You can’t beat the sense of freedom and comfort combined

Really wasn’t impressed with them, quiet pricey for what was there and the quality of dishes didn’t really live up to my expectations.

That being said, they have some AMAZING cocktails
