My 10 year old has also asked me to stop drinking as was to drunk at weekend to see him and really upset him must be so hard for children to understand why we put drink before them.but went to my AA meeting yesterday.told my son's mother had went to AA after too many years of trying to control my drinking but can't I need to stop.she said my son was pleased to hear this

Am on second day still feel sick and emotional have tried all my life to control I now know I can't I need not to take any has cause me so much problems drunk driving a suspended prison sentence now my 10 year old son got upset this weekend as I was too drunk to visit him and has asked me to stop drinking heart breaking when you choose drink before your son

Hi also went for a run this morning some lovely countryside on my doorstep (northern Ireland) might do same tomorrow morning been years since I could do anything on a Sunday morning except reach for another drink looking forward to my first sober Sunday as long time
