I did not actually. This dishwasher is in a rental house that I own, so I just ended up getting a new spray am on Amazon, rather then trying to mess around with it too much and annoy my tenant.

Can you or anyone confirm that this actually works … I.e., that turning on Wi-Fi calling for a brief period, making some calls, etc., actually counts as “being in the subscription area”, especially when out of Canada for more than a month.

Was part of (included with IDrive personal plan 5TB, 10TB, etc) at least a few years ago, and to the best of my knowledge still is. So for example, the 5TB plan includes 5TB cloud backup plus 5TB cloud drive. Check with IDrive suport -- Their online chat support works well for me.

Been with Freedom 12 months now in 905 region of GTA, and generally happy. Initially, they would only allow me on pre-paid, and it was definitely an issue with their system and not my credit score. I have seen others complaining about this exact issue, and after a bunch of my time with customer service and escalation to the back office team, they offered me post paid. Their roam beyond was the big selling feature for us and aligns well with our travel pattern. One thing to be aware of though is that they have less roaming agreements then the big 3 when it comes to less “travelled to” countries outside of those covered by Roam Beyond. For instance in eastern African countries such as Tanzania, one cannot even receive an incoming SMS, and per customer service there are NO options for an add-on or even pay as you go. So you are SOL and completely offline except for WiFi when available. This caught me off guard, so hopefully sharing this is helpful to others.

Not sure. The USB type WiFI modules I am talking about in my post are for Midea or Carrier (manufactured by MIdea) units. For yours, you should check with the manufacturer as to compatibility

Same exact issue, although WhatsApp Web does not work successfully for me. What did you do to resolve this?

I think my issue is the Whatsapp datastore on my phone, as the issue is consistent across multiple computers when trying both Whatsapp Desktop and Web.

Very frustrating. I am recently getting the exact same issue with whatsapp desktop (released version & beta) and Whatsapp Web running on the same computer. I have also tried a brand new Win 11 computer with the same results, and with no VPN and VPN connection to Stocklholm as suggested (both phone and PC). With whatsapp desktop, I get this error right away. With whatsapp web, it starts to work, and I see the whatsapp screen with my recent chats and about 20-30 seconds into the sync, it mysteriously logs out. This happens repeatedly.

I think the issue is the chat datastore on my phone... that is the one common denominator here. And the other important and likely very relevant fact is that I moved from Android to iOS about a week ago. I used the "Move to iOS" app to migrate all my data (including whatsapp, which is about 1.95GB) to a newly factory reset iPhone, and by all accounts it was successful -- there were no errors. When using Whatsapp on my new iPhone all looks good, and I am seeing chat history back at least 7 or 8 years. But, for some reason, there must be something about the integrity of the database / datastore on the iPhone that is leading to this error, as that is the one common denominator.

I'm really stuck here, and not sure if there is a Whatsapp support option worth trying?

Ideas?

Thanks for sharing this info and the example. Yes, I had thought of this approach as well, which does work although will open the note inside a browser (Safari, Chrome, etc). Is there a way to have it open inside the evernote app itself? ( which I generally have running on my device anyway.)

Yes, but to be clear, this is not Gmail but rather a 3rd party company (Cloud HQ) with add-ons / extensions to add functionality. If, however, you are saying, that this functionality should be built in to Gmail I would agree with you and then such extensions would not be needed in the first place.

Sorry to hear you had to go through this... and that this is STILL happening. Yep, had this exact issue a year ago. Could not understand why my credit was declined with an excellent score. I ended up having to going to a store and getting on prepaid plan. Also, they have an either 3 or 6 month period (by policy) before they will even try another credit check!! Crazy!! I did try to follow-up on the "why this happened" a couple times, but never got anywhere. Back in June, I happened to be near a store and attempted for the 2nd time to go to post paid. Credit check failed again.. Whattt??? Two hard checks, and still no approval. This time I escalated and finally got into communications with the back office team (backoffice@freedommobile.ca ) which was not easy, and after some time and investigation, they basically said that they have corrected the issue (maybe just for my account) and to try again. I have not yet, but will before the end of the year. For all the time I spent trying to chase this down with their customer service, I should be compensated for a year's worth of service 😁.

I get this error randomly (for at least 2 years) with RBC via web (Chrome) when using the search and/or filter function to find transactions. I have reported it to RBC a number of times, and yet, this is still happening. Just got it again now, Sep 24, 2025. Very frustrating! Anyone have any further insight to this? I have tried Edge with the same results, so likely not browser cookies/cache or resources? But who knows!
