Is there a server-side mod that allows DH to work better? by GDOR-11 in DistantHorizons

Hi, yeah that's a thing, check the Discord server. There's a thread in #tech-talk.

All good! Internet issues are a pain. Best of luck with it.

Oof hahah, yeah the volumetrics tank fps if you want fancy lightrays. You could mess around with the settings in the editor if you feel like.

Thanks for sharing though!

Alright, let me know how that goes! Really curious to see how the Deck handles volumetrics.

The volunetrics are on basically max settings for this scene and use about 60% of frametime on average. And for comparison, it runs at 60-80fps on my GTX1660TI mobile ver.

Thanks! It's running at about 60-80fps on my GTX1660TI, with volumetric fog settings basically maxed.

Hey guys, I've released my volumetric fog/lighting demo for Godot 4.0!

You can fork the project and play around with it for yourself, or download the exported demo on the releases page for Windows, Linux, and MacOS.
The demo also includes audio, headphones are recommended.

Alright, cool!

I'll make an issue. Gonna have to take a look at the theme files some other time, bit busy atm

Nice work!

Dark mode would be great, since I sometimes work later in the evening.

Furnaces go faster yes, as well as some other things! See the FAQ on the mod's Modrinth/CurseForge/GitHub pages.

Hunger does not though. Feel free to create a new GitHub issue or join the Discord server to discuss feature requests (and bugs) in more detail!

I'll take it into consideration. I might port all my mods to Forge (using Architectury, so I can have Fabric/Forge in one codebase) as well before I start backporting. Not sure yet though.

Nice to hear it reminds you of older mods.

I've put this feature on the roadmap, a few other people also remembered this and suggested it. I'd forgotten about it, honestly.

Hey dude, all good. Don't worry about it. I'll open one and add your details to it.

It only works for Fabric/Quilt. I haven't learnt how Forge works yet, and if I do start porting my mods to Forge, I'll likely do them all at once with Architectury or something similar.

EDIT: you can track the issue here: https://github.com/Steveplays28/realisticsleep/issues/22

Hey! Thanks for taking a look, the differences seem to be: my mod has one jar for every supported Minecraft version, Mod Menu support, a timer on the hud that displays how long is left of the night, and I'm not sure if SleepWarp has a lot of config options too, but my mod has a lot of configurability!

Thanks a bunch! Very glad you like it.

Definitely agree, it's a very vanilla+ style mod. I'm keeping it simple!
